In FS2004 sometimes i got some display problems. Like solid screenshots wile i m just flying. anyone can help me out :tomcat:

    AA 8X

I'm still looking myself. I'm having problems in TheSims2 and DAoC. I get spontaneous black screens, regardless of temps or OC'ing. I have noticed Nvidia's drivers seem to make a difference in the frequency they occur. I'm currently using std 91.31 drivers as they provide the least amt of crashes in Sims but appear to benefit DAoC more than earlier drivers. I'll likely be trying some mod drivers and beta ForceWare drivers over the next few days to resolve the stability issues.

I'm looking for the best driver (for playing MMO's and FPS's mostly) on my BFG Geforce 6800 Ultra AGP 256MB card. It's a good card for a 6 series.. Nice pipeline still, can run hot since Im using the stock monster fan, but nothing I need to worry about. I am only using the BFG PC OTB which is not that much more than default speeds.

Question is, what I the best driver, or best in series for the 6800 (I know the OP has a 6800 GS, and I have a Ultra so if theres a better driver for each of us, Ide appreciate that info or the main differences) and I dont care if retail or modified. Just something that will give me the best FPS and decent Quality, IQ, etc.

    Thanks in advance, Gurus.

With 92.91 i have some problems rendering avi's on both of screens (twin view enable), so i'm using 91.48 and i'm out of trouble. With 92.91 and 91.48 i have the same performance and the same IQ in games, so 91.48 for is the best.
    P.S. My video card is Gainward 6800GT (350/1000) o/c to 385/1120.

I also play Flight Sim 2004 and Flightsim x and I have the BFG 6800 gs.
Unlocked pipes and I use the xtreme G 92.71.

They seem to work flawlessley.....no problems at all.

for me 91.47 work the best

As i also have a 6800 series card ( bfg6800gsoc 16pp6vp fully unlocked with no issues ) i have tried all of the drivers from 8xxx all the way to the latest one 93.71 ,also i have tried all of the modified drivers but they are not stable
:O whatsoever , like the guy who posted before me , im still looking for that modified driver that work (none). So it is like this,:eek:c: the 8xxx drivers allow me to insanely oc to 435/1200 , but my system wont be stable at those oc , for me the ones that work the best are the official nvidia drivers 91.47 , they are very very stable and allow me to oc to 410/1168 max. Just remember every gpu its different and its like playing casino in las vegas , what works for me may not work for you. In my opinion the best drivers for 6800 series card are 91.47. Good luck bro.:supercool

i have the BFG6800GSOCAGP and COULD NOT run these drivers for crap. after even a fresh install of windows with these being the first to be on my rig, i couldnt overclock at all... i would get random black screens while playing - and it made my ram run @ 320Mhz? when i opened riva tuner to try and overclock. the ram wouldnt take it at all and would always be sitting at 320 after a reboot.

i have had 100% luck with the 91.47 drivers - like chispy - i can unlock and overclock to 16pp/6vs 435/1200 with zero artifacting on the stock heatsink - Max load temps durning COD2 (only game i play really) are 64*C - i keep riva running in the background during gameplay then monitor temps when im done. 64 is the highest i have ever seen, and that has only been a couple of times.

i would run the 91.47's from nvidia.

I also have a PNY 6800GS 256MB, and I play all of the games mentioned so far in this thread. I'm looking to see if I can pick up my frame rates anymore, or make FSX look any better, while maintaining my current fps, which is about 15.

Any suggestions to drivers is appreciated, I'll be downloading 92.21 tonight and trying it out.

Now i OC my 6800GS AGP from 450/1200 to 485/1440MHz in Z-tweak 91.28 but i can see the difference between default and OC.

How about NGO Driver 1.9171? Who have already used this driver, please give your opinion.

I have PNY 6800GS and sticking on W2k with DHzer0point_84.66.exe drivers - working pretty good to me :)

These oned got issues in XP, tough... I mean - the options menu disapear and never come back after first settings :D

Dunno if never drivers could give me more FPS or just more troubles... I sticking with what is working. Playing BF2 and CoD2.
