It's easy now to get multi kills cause of 5 man squads, i sometimes run into a few and kill the entire squad. :D

edit: Can you counter knife if someone tries it from behind or is it just from the front?

I'm not especially interested in playing Battlefield 4, online at least, but I had access to the beta so I installed it purely to check it out on a technical level.

I hate that it still requires that awful (what were DICE thinking?) browser interface to even load the game but from first impressions the menus and graphics do not appear significantly different from Battlefield 3 IMO. It set the resolution to 1920x1200 and I used the Ultra pre-set and enabled v-sync on my 60 Hz display. I joined a 17-player game (for up to 64 people) and just ran around for a bit. Performance seemed to be fine to me, although the game being 64-bit meant that EVGA Precision X's OSD was not working. The game did not feel stuttery or laggy though. Visually the game looked pretty nice; not too much aliasing and no horrid shadow pop ins or anything like that.

I may buy the game at some point for the single player though.

If that graph will still be valid in the final version I will upgrade to Win8 as well, no matter how painful that will be. :p

lol, it doesn't have to be painful, just make a dual-boot and that's it. When you want to play BF4 just boot into W8.

I don't have enough space, I'm still using my old 80 GB SSD as OS drive and somehow I only have like 6 GB space left even now. I think I might skim some of that, maybe 10 GB by deleting/moving some save games but I still don't think it will be enough. :p

Maybe I'll get myself a newer, faster and bigger SSD! :D

Windows 8.1 has Dx11.2 but we also need drivers that support it..

Considering Kepler doesn't fully support DX 11.1, I highly doubt adriver will make our cards support DX 11.2.

That's Maxwell. If the internet is to be believed, that "should" have full DX 11.2 support.

I thought my 2GB VRAM problems would be gone but now that dream is shattered.

Hmmm, looks like I'll be buying w8 tonight, how much is it? Is 8.1 out btw? If not, will it be a fee upgrade from w8?
