Well no but big difference in price between 460 an 5870 :wanker:, no way a 460 should be beating a 5870, so drivers need work which was my whole point :wanker:

 

Switched from a 4870 to a 5850 and I never had a significant problem with the drivers. From 9.7 to 10.6

At least they didn't burn my VGA.

:wanker: An how many game at that res, 0.000001% compared to how many game at 1600x1200 :3eyes:, an also anything above 60 fps is wasted, so extra money on 5870 would be money down the drain too. The just need to fix the game at 1600x1200 below in their drivers.

well look at the release date of sc2, if this driver will come next week it will come on monday day before sc2 launch.

and of course the small difference in performance of 5870 compared to the 4 series

 

Rather wait a few days more if they get it working better, it is monthly after all.

I don't understand why so many people have driver issues, I've used 3 different generation ATI cards without any more hassle than my Nvidia cards. Can only assume it's user error alot of the time.

 

yep the games i like play and look better for me on ati than they did on nvidia. and i was a lifelong nvidia user until the 5 series.

p.s had a great time on nvidia as well

I hope they fix OpenGL from killing all my older games , If not guess i,ll be stuck with 10,4 drivers for the life of my cards ;(

Hope they fix Crossfire since it have been raped in the last drivers in many games.
