Just curious as to whether any of you fellow gurus have signed up for the white box to measure your ISP performance? I'm thinking of signing up for it, any thoughts on this? Heres a link: http://www.samknows.com/broadband/index.php
i signed up for it and got the router, havnt had a chance to plug it into my network though(lol, hardly a task).
Naaa, my ISP (BE) is fuffing ace. No need to check anything. When I was with Virgin net, it was a world of nightmare, especially at peak times. Using the very same cables (no modifications were made anywhere), no issues at all now.
Yep, I did it a couple years ago and got a WRT160NL, which is now unlocked and being used as my main router
Apparently they are using this router now TP-LINK TL-WR741ND Wireless N Router. @mufflore - I've avoided Virgin for that very reason, it's unbelievable how much junk mail I get from them trying to coax me into signing up. It will never happen Easynet/bSkyb works flawlessley for me, never have any down time If the box had 4port gigabit ports then I'd try apply for one, otherwise it isn't worth it for me. Thanks for the replies...was just curious
Seems interesting, might take a look. Don't have any internet issues with Virgin unless i don't pay my bill lol, they are the only decent ISP here in the UK, even when they throttle Newsgroups at peak times it's still 5-6mb/s download speed.
