+ better GPU usage/less CPU bottleneck in DX11 (3DMark Api test proved this and GW2)

I tried Alien Isolation with default crossfire settings still no proper crossfire support in any resolution with modded drivers.

I took a screenshot using AB built-in feature at 4K VSR crossfired and the image was perfect but the image on the monitor was broke on the right side (flickering).

I guess AB screenshot takes the first GPU image and not the full output to monitor who has problems in the right side of the image.

In fact all the whole crossfire feature is broke in modded drivers at any resolution for me.

4K VSR works perfectly without crossfire in my 290Xs.

 

Is this Hallock's idea of damage control?? Keep digging AMD, keep digging.

 

This is comical. They'll never admit that they weren't extending VSR to older cards for $$.

 

just make sure that all resolutions are unlocked right up to 5k for 290X cards and the other cards aswell, we can get them with this hacked driver but crossfire does not work..... massive flickering on the right side of the screen
and some resolutions show up in games and others dont....

to fix this im sure its at the driver level and not reg level but we can get the resolutions so i dont see the issue in allowing all resolutions or the max that the cards can do with vsr as i have tested 5120x2160 5k on my 21.9 aspect ratio and it works apart from issues in game like flickering.

 

AMD PR department was working very hard on this subject...
...change "lie" by "confusion" and all problems solved!

 

I've read a similar boost figure for a certain upcoming dx11 race simulator too.

 

How many of us (myself included) sent AMDMatt a PM to follow these VSR development threads?

Essentially AMD got caught between a hard place and a rock on this one. Not sure if the driver mods we are doing were meant to be locked or not, or slipped through unlocked.

But the CAT was out of the bag and was not going back in.

I'm sorry but I'm clueless right now and really don't understand why works for me and not for everyone.

 

what where the reg entrys you edited ?
or did you follow a different method cause crossfire is really broken with vsr custom resolutions added.

 

AMD would gain more respect if their reps dropped the constant PR marketing spin and talked to customers like adults. Yes marketers are bound by certain restraints but they are also the messenger.
I would have been content (well, more content) with "yeah we f*ked up, sorry".
Just be straight with us from the start.... and stop with the hyperbole while you're at it.

Maybe Matt could pass that on.....

 

Um i disagree as your banned i see now you deserve it. When the mod was made it could had uncovered features that were in the makes and such. They could had said this but i feel like you guys aren't seeing the reason.
