    S!

Drivers installed fine and work in games, no issues there. Problem was that CCC did not let me choose the 121Hz refresh rate on my screen, stubbornly kept it at 60Hz. The 121Hz refresh rate showed on the supported list, but did not apply at all. Tested other resolutions and was locked to 60Hz. After I disabled ULPS it worked as it should.

yeah... hope they can fix this. for some reason got me worried now, i don't want to think that AMD is trying to not support the 7000 series.

have tried several times now, the details are still 13.1 also when you look inside the driver
have not had this problem with 14.9

    Use win7 64bit

7xxx could be locked via the MSI if your devid is found in the inf. I havent checked myself. Am sure Asder will unlock it.

Shadow of Mordor seems to be in the blb file (quick hex check). Would need to convert it to see if it is optimized.

also being unaware of the huge technical resources gap between AMD and nVidia....excusatio non petita :infinity:
Look at what kind of über-machines nVidia builds drivers (g00gle iz ur friend) in theory, that'd be NO match for almost everyone [but Intel]: so, how could it be possible for AMD to cope with its rival?

Ofc, they're BOTH far from so-called perfection. (BOTH catalyst AND forceware brought out several major issues during last 48 months on some releases) Unhappy with computers? Migrate to consolez :wanker:

Played Civ Beyond Earth for 3 hours using Mantle, no problem at all, around turn 180 and still very fast to change turns. I do not install CCC anymore. And the game is so great.

check your driver file name, because AMD separated the win 8 installer from win 7 installer.

i also encountered this issue, and when i look on AMD beta page, there are 2 download links, for each window version.

and the default link on the driver page is for win 8, i don't know why AMD did this, but lets hope that its not because AMD wanted to dump support for win7.

btw for me, Civ BE is a let down, it felt empty, rushed and lacking a lot of things.

and i didn't even have any expectations at all, because of fear of disappointment, and yet it still managed to disappoint and bore me.

I wouldn't necessarily say that is the only time it shines. Even if you aren't CPU bound, Mantle has far less API and driver overhead compared to DX. The net result is your frametimes are roughly half of what they are for DX and your minimum frame rate is much higher. This makes the gameplay experience much smoother.

Tbh 35c load sounds unrealistic. I think 14.9.2 temps make more sense.

Can anyone please tell if it improves the performance of Battlefield 4 DirectX 11 mode? Ever since I jumped from 14.4 to 14.9 and 14.9.1 beta, my average multiplayer fps dropped from 100 avg to as little as 45fps!

I have Sapphire Trix R9 290 and I also use Display Driver Uninstaller before installing new drivers.

My R9 290 is currently being RMA'd... Let's wait and see if it's memories are really bad, and if MSi gives me a new one...

    Then I'll test these (hopefully).
