How is this different from what asder posted? I know his said 11.5a and this says 11.5b, but they are the same filesize etc. Do you have a screenshot of the driver details?

yeah where is the vista driver? I can't follow the logic on this one, sure they can make a driver for an os that is 10 years old but they can't make a vista driver?

Hope this isnt a new trend their doing, the same thing happend with the 11.5a hotfix version.

Also - New CAP will be released by Friday (please don't use the leaked 11.5 CAP2) - The new CAP will be called 11.5 CAP3.

I get them indoors. It seems like some bloom effect gone haywire. That being said, I get plenty of FPS now.

Do you uninstall CAP's when changing drivers or what? I've had 11.3 in for so long now I've mainly just been uninstalling/reinstalling CAPS.

Also does anyone know if changing drivers triggers activations for Crysis 2?

Guys sorry for the very basic question, but I've never installed a Hotfix driver.

I want to install 11.5b hotfix driver.

Shoud I uninstall my current 11.5 driver, then use driver sweeper for cleanup and then freshly install this hotfix driver ? "amd_catalyst_11.5b_hotfix_8.85.6rc5_win7_may25.exe" ?

Yeah just uninstall as normal then reboot use driver sweeper reboot again and install the hotfix driver. No need for any CAPs as this is the latest driver.

I can not get these installed, I copied these into the install folder "C:\ATI\Support\11-5_vista64_win7_64_dd_ccc_ocl\Packages" and ran the setup, still showing driver version 8.85-110419a instead of 8.85.6. I have Vista 64, am I doing anything wrong? I get an error after installation saying that it can't reference an inf file, I can't figure it out. Driver Install: the driver package did not preinstall because files that are referenced by the INF file could not be found

Ok Well I have the same OS as you and got these installed so I will let you know what I did.

1, Start the driver install, This is where it extracts the files to C:\AMD

2, When this has finished it will start the actual installation of the package, Cancel this off.

3, You need to have downloaded 11.5a_RC5_VistaFix-@asder00 extract the contents.

    4. open up the contents you just extracted and navigate to the Display folder you will see W7_INF you will see 3 files, Copy these.

5.navigate to C:\AMD\AMD_Catalyst_11.5b_Hotfix_8.85.6RC5_Win7_May25\Packages\Drivers\Display and open W7_INF, No paste and replace the the 3 files you copied.

    6. Repeat steps 4&5 for W76A_INF

    7. Now navigate to C:\AMD\AMD_Catalyst_11.5b_Hotfix_8.85.6RC5_Win7_May25 and double click Setup.exe.

This should install the Latest driver and CCC

    Hope this helps :)

So do vista owners download the windows 7 driver package and extract that but not install and then swap the files from the hotfix?

Download the Window 7 Version Extract but dont install, Then you need Asders Vista Fix http://www.mediafire.com/?urni9w21nah5ho5

then follow steps I posted above, Worked fine for me
