    169.44 is aim for 8 series card as well as 6 and 7 when the 174 is aim at 9 series. this is good because nvidia is working on 17x.xx drivers

    Theres driver are awesome for crysis! Just patched to 1.2
    i havent benchmarked crysis with its own benchmark utility, i measured fps from different places what it supposed to be and with these driver i get 3-4 FPS BOOST! very nice for free :)

    3dMark05 gained +100 points and stability is great. Im sticking these for looooong time :)

    i've rolled back to 174.31 (x64 vista)

    these drivers don't seem to work as good in SLI or AA. IQ is not as good as 174.31 either.

    If you want V-Sync with SP1 try on of the 17x.xx drivers with a modded .inf. I sincerely hope Nvidia resolves this issue for the people with pre 9-series GPUs soon.

    Anyway, both versions are available at Nvidia.com too.

    These driver have problems under sp1. it frezze and not only that but my bios reset WTF, this never happen with the 17x.xx drivers nor 16x.xx drivers too. i guess nvidia made this driver for crysis only and no sp 1 fix too.

    Ok done a few little tests with the Crysis Benchmark. Win Xp 32bit.

    All settings High & very high object detail, 1600x900, x2AA, (results are average of 4 benchmark runs)

    Driver 169.44 - Crysis v 1.1
    Min 29.37
    Max 48.25
    Ave 38.95
    Driver 169.44 - Crysis v 1.2
    Min 30.70
    Max 48.11
    Ave 39.62

    Driver 174.12 - Crysis v 1.1
    Min 29.91
    Max 48.92
    Ave 39.34
    Driver 174.12 - Crysis v 1.2
    Min 30.16
    Max 50.12
    Ave 40.02

    As the results show Crysis v1.1 is marginally faster with 174.12.
    v1.2 is tricky, 169.44 has a higher min FPS but its so slight, whereas 174.12 has higher max & average.

    With driver 169.44 Image quality on the benchmark was a little better, however ther are some problems with it.........
    1) AA from profiles is still broken
    2) 1600x900 resoultion wasn't available, when added in driver via custom res it didn't scale properly - so i had to manually add it to the .inf & reinstall to get it to scale properly.
    3) No 'pre-render limit' option in 3d settings - a feature I'd got used to having in 174.xx series.
    4) Custom resolution will not scale properly (as mentioned in point #1) I tried 1600x900 + 1400x1050 and they both stretched

    = Keeping 174.12 for above reasons, 169.44 has too many faults
