That the article is mostly crap.

Just about every item listed can have several holes punched through them about why they are not going to disappear.

There is no way most of this stuff is gonna die that fast.
    1. I dont see the point in using wireless internet if your desktop is right near the router. You dont have to deal with the slight lag that comes from wireless stuff.
    2. Dedicated cameras are WAAY better than phone cameras right now. I know that may change, but it isnt happening quickly.
    3. Windows not existing? I dont think so...
    4. Mouses? I'll always use one.

Do I need to go on?

I agree with the Wireless, not because of interference (barely have any with a quality router), but just because it's simply still not as fast as wired. Wireless is about 2 to 4 ms on top of a gamer his ping, whereas wired (not even Gigabit), is still below 1 ms in alot of home situations.

I don't think 3/4 of those will dissappear ... death of camcorders and cameras because of smartphones ... ? C'mon now ...

But even if it does happen, why point it out before hand ... let's just live life as it suits us and if those things dissappears ... then so be it !

Most of it is same thing in a different format....A movie is still a movie....A phone is still a phone...A remote is still a remote...As for the mouse for touch screen, I sit to far away:)

Not here in Canada, the average monthly plan for cell phone services in Canada per person is around $50-70/month and many of these plans have only 500 MB of data on average.

The average home phone line is around $30/month.

Cost of telecommunications in Canada is the most expensive in the developed world according to the OECD.
