Hi all. Wondering if anyone knows the answer to this... I recently set a custom voltage curve for my 1080Ti in order to try and bring temps a little lower (Zotac 1080Ti Mini) but what Im seeing now is that even though the voltage curve seems to be working, the core clock never drops below its maximum boost speed now. Ie the core clock is stuck at 1850Mhz/900mv, whereas without the voltage curve the card would clock more intelligently (ie low clock speeds and low voltages when on the desktop). Is there a trick to keep the card at its low/base speeds/voltages when on the desktop?
Try updating your drivers. This has happened a couple of times to me in the last few months with my 980Ti. Once after a Windows update and again for no reason it seemed. Each time I just updated the drivers and then it would idle like it's supposed to again.
