I am wondering why there are no HDDs with multiple heads on one arm, where adidtional heads could micro-adjust position to match paired tracks with higer density. HDD would be able to read large files at double or quad speeds and HDDs in the RAID configuration could come close to SSD speeds.
Seagate is realesing multi-actuator drives soon. I think there was article here on Guru couple days ago.
