Apple today launches the more affordable iPhone SE. It comes with a 4-inch screen and is paired with an A9 SoC. The SE is the first 4-inch smart-phone ever since the iPhone 5s which dates back toward...

I'm pumped for it! In my eye, 4" is the best size for a screen! :D I do wish it were just a little wider though...

Perfect for my wife, going to grab the 64G when it launches. She hates big screen phones.

Not a bad idea because the size of phones keep increasing as time goes on. Android needs to follow suit for those who need a small screen phone.

And that my friends is how you get rid of your overstock of 5S's.

    Right?

    Glad that you get this.

I mean, I understand some people like the design of the 5S and prefer it over the 6, but to me this is a pretty pointless handset overall.

There are a ton of Android offerings around the 4-5" mark.

It seems Sony are the only ones that do it right with the Compact. Not hurting the hardware too much but reducing the display size.

The new 9.7" iPad was also launched today. It seems to have kept the bigger Pro's specs with some added features like a 12MP camera and the ambient light temperature sensor. Clock speeds and RAM have yet to be confirmed, but all indications are that the "regular-sized" Pro also features 4gigs of RAM and an A9X processor.

I like the look of the iPhone.....especially the black models, but I could never go back to a 4" screen....

I just quickly zoomed through what you wrote and for a tenth of a second thought you were saying that at 4" you'd have to jam it into your eye to see it. :wanker:

I'm on the completely opposite end, as long as I can fit it in my pocket I want as large of a screen as possible. If I could get a cheap Nexus 6P I'd go for that purely because of the screen size despite it using the reject B grade AMOLED panels Samsung sell everyone. I'm just waiting around for any chance to get a large screened phone for a decent price.

i hate them too... 99% of the time the phone should be in your pocket.

now pockets are not wide enought to hold a phone...

on other hand when you see all the zombifed people that look only at their "precious" smartphone only, and don't live by themself...

No fun typing messages on small KB of 4" screen.

Now I understand why people have been ridiculizing Apple all over 9gag. It's not like Apple couldn't make a smaller phone with their new design...

    Chill, dude.

I agree... I find the keys to be way too narrow to type reliably – at a decent speed, that is.

I'm on the opposite end of that. I make more mistakes when trying to message from a larger phone. That's the only reason this phone is appealing to me. It would be hard to go from an LG G4 to an iPhone with a 4" screen though.
