The first official details about the PC version of Dead or Alive 5 Last Round have just surfaced. It looks like the PC version will lack 'Soft Engine' and will sport PS3-level quality effects....

Doesn't seem to (EDIT: Too) bad, unsure what the effects difference is though but perhaps just the amount of particles and such, guess we'll see once someone makes a comparison which will probably happen shortly after the PC version is released.

SoftEngine from what I've read is just for the breast bounciness though that will probably kill a few sales. :p

EDIT: Partial translation of the above info which is in Japanese. :)

I could understand the requirements if it was a port of the better looking modern generation. Why we are getting a port of the previous generation's version is beyond me, I was looking forward to this game.

Oh well, at least there is Tekken coming up for PC. I like Tekken's combat more anyway. It's just missing the jiggly bits ;)

PS3 effects for a PC port? Not buying. Enjoy the $0 you'll get from me Tecmo. What's with Japanese companies being notorious for horrendous PC ports?

I was really looking forward to this too.

Dead of alive is awesome I don't know what you people are talking about. What's up with the constant pompous sounding comments on these boards my god. I will be picking this up for sure

I was getting the "upset fans of DOA because the PC port is going to be half-assed" vibe. I personally detect no pompousness.

I think this influx of people complaining about bias and being 'pompous' is a form of projection. It seriously seems like that if you don't believe "a company can do no wrong" you will be called names.

consoles are destroying the gaming industry... these people are making console games and when porting to pc the requirement is as high as a photo realistic game like crysis.. but graphics are are ****... and surely can't use multi gpu... why are they doing this ?? this is like suppressing technology... i hope dx 12 will free us from this

I'm sorry, but I can't take a guy with a pic of himself with a fedora on in a public internet forum serious.

I'll say! looked at them and I can't figure out what it is that justifies these requirements. Maybe its the exaggerated titty physics ?
