Weird logic or excuse, so should the 5060 and 6060 forever be locked to 1080p only?

A Vega 56 at a msrp of 400$ could run 1440p when it arrived, because the 8GB was enough at the time of release.

 

Do these cards not compete with each other?

I am honestly a little shocked at the price of the 4060 considering it's specs.

Now was the 2080 super a 1080p card?

If any card ever deserved a guru3d badge it was the 3060Ti.

 

A 3060 Ti is more like a 1080 Ti in performanc IIRC... so 2070 Super to 2080 Super in a best case. This 4060 Ti would have been a good card... for $200 2.5 years ago, named an x050 not 60 Ti.

 

Nvidia also marketed 3060ti as a capable 1440p card so this is going backwards.

Imagine if 4060ti had 16gb at 400$ and be fast as or faster than 3080? Instant hit!

 

3060 Ti is a lot faster than a 1080Ti....a lot faster.

Jensen gives near 0 frells about the gaming market now that AI is taking off and they're headed to a value of 1 trillion $.

 

Yea!....an upgrade from a 2060 Super to a 3060Ti was well worth the generational upgrade for 2060 owners....heck 1060 to 2060 was a good upgrade.

3060Ti to 4060Ti.....not worth it.

 

We understand that. I would not be surprised nvidia pulls out of the video cards market altogether one day. Maybe only satisfy the high end.

 

1060 especially. It was faster than 980 and had more vram for 299$. Pascal was something else.

I honestly cant understand why people are insistent on comparing current and previous model nanes/numbers rather than comparing performance and price.

If you have £375 to spend then its either a 4060Ti or a 6750XT.
Now if you want RT then maybe the 4060Ti
Now if you want raster then maybe the 6750XT
Now if you wanted performance per watt then maybe the 4060Ti
The price and performance relative to what you want to achieve should drive your purchase, not what cards are called.

In the budget gaming world new xx60 series was always fun!

3060ti was a 1440p capable card when it was released but by today standards simply isnt anymore. Its vram limited. The 4060ti should be once again but nvidia limited it to 8gb and market it as a 1080p card. They knew...

 

still a relevant card if the price hit's $300/$319 New.

The used market is already @$250

Still better than a 2080 Super!
