Im hopping maybe even 600eur would be great. Its a great card but poorly priced.

I think that is spot on for almost all cards launched this generation.

Lets hope next gen will have better prices and AMD will deliber all tech that was promised to be launch months ago... maybe then i can jump and try AMD for a gen or two. This gen i was very close but the 350+W killed it for me.

Didnt you had 3080 before the 4080? They are both 320w cards.

Yep, undervolted the **** out of it, so never went close to 320w.

The 4080 while gaming runs well under 320w@stock. I had it undervolted but had to reset it back to stock because of some PC issues, ended in dead ram (f gskill) and did not undervolt it back... im that lazy hahaha

I am skipping to 8000 series. As 6800 XT runs nice and cozy 230 watts whilst performing admirably with my settings. Lost 0 performance that is. Running that good ol ref board.

While I agree AMD isn't great with RT at least the 7900 xtx is decent. Well as decent as something like 3080 to 3090ti. Which is plenty for a lot of people.

Even my card can do RT in some games ok. But yes not as good as Nvidia Ada. But AMD is playing catch-up with way less R&D money. I don't see them catching up unless they get lucky

I think with nVidia's clearly shifting focus to AI... we could be starting to wade into the moment where things could shift. But that's just me purely speculating, as things in discrete GPU's are getting seriously interesting between AMD having caught up allot in this last 2 generations and Intel slowly creeping into the market as a whole.

yeah, but I imagine one rt effect is doable on 7900xt at 3440x1440 native.

rdna3 is a step backwards tho

they did that 5 years ago, or even more if you count r&d of volta. the rest is far behind.

    It's 100% doable. It's just like using a 3xxx series for RT.

How do you figure? Not sure what your trying to say with that link.

Yes, but the money is getting allot more serious now. And like any company, you follow the money. So the worry I would have is nVidia follows the AI money and could potentially start to have the GPU graphics side waiver.

To try and form a comparison... Apple did this. Where mobile has became the focus and the Desktop/Laptop side has suffered accordingly.

7600 slower than 6650xt, on new arch with more transistors

It is meant to replace rx6600 not 6650xt.

yeah yeah yeah, another excuse to explain same performance for more transistors on a new die. remember you linking me navi 33 = 6900xt lol, turns out navi 33 = navi 23

Tbh if it's 2 billion more transistors with such gimped everything would make a difference i would be amazed. Did they change how they count tflops considering 7600 should equal 6800xt in that area which is just dumb. Anyway biggest thing about rdna3 was chiplet design and 7600 isn't one.

Anyway the only difference I see from 6650xt is 2 billion more transistors thanks to 6nm process, it just looks like 6650xt on a smaller node lol. While Nvidia had 22 billion on their 4060ti with their 4N which is 5 billion more then 3070 ti which goes to point out transistors are not all. Whilst Nvidia did bigger changes elsewhere then AMD with their rdna3

yeah, nvidia cut the crap out of this 4060ti, while the expectations after 3060ti were something more of a great bang for the buck card. the result ended up poor either way you look at it.

Now thats a fast gpu, Its the one I was going to get if my 6800xt did not had a block, and oc to 2800mhz

Best of RDNA3 vs second best of Ada Lovelace, kinda lopsided
