No angled connectors? Why, God, why?!

I bought one of these and I'd like to point out that it looks absolutely nothing like that in reality. The pictures are completely deceptive. The cables are thin as it gets, so if you want it purely for aesthetics, it isn't the right choice.

I mean, how thin is thin? Because I bought colored Corsair PSU cables for mine when I built the last rig and they were thin too, thinner than the default cables coming with the PSU.

Also a really weird looking cablecomb, like it's 3D printed... very bulky.

I'm waiting for CableMod to release the 2x8-Pin to 12VHPWR, cuz that's all i need for my 4070 Ti.

    I guess for compatibility.

An angled connector wouldn't fit on my GPU unless it had 2-3cm of horizontal before the right angle. The fan shroud of the fan sticks out beyond the edge of the PCB.

Can't speak for these but I have the first iteration of Corsair's 12VHPWR cable and the individual cables are thick. So thick that it's actually quite hard to bend.

I also got that cable and Neo Cyrus is absolutely correct. The photos are deceptive to the extreme. They make it look like each sleeved wire is physically connected to it's neighbor, but they are not. It really doesn't matter to me, but it's not right for Corsair to advertise it that way.

I've bought the red/black one and i can attest that it is more than thick enough, maybe cyrus got a fake one from scamazon but i'm quite happy with mine.

Here is a picture of it inside my case, i don't find the wires thin personally. They don't even get warm while running the gpu overclocked at about 560 watts.

As Micas pointed out later in this thread, thin enough that they leave gaps between the wires instead of touching.
I bought mine from Canada Computers, which is probably the biggest computer chain with physical stores left in Canada. Mine doesn't look very different from yours, look at your 24 pin cable, that's how Corsair made theirs look like in the pictures, which is completely different from your 12vhpwr cable.

Fair enough, Canada computer is reputable and I’m sure it’s a real cable. It is on the thin side compared to the 24pin i guess, but it’s actually much higher quality. I got that 24pin on Amazon and I’m sure the wires inside are aluminum.

I agree with GPU's being so tall now they struggle to fit into some cases like the Lian Li Dynamic.

    Get a larger case.

No issues here with my Fractal Define 7.

I got one from moddiy for my 4080, 2x8-Pin to 12VHPWR
    Works, no problems.

I think you are referring to different products. This one in the topic is the sleeved one. What you have is same as mine, just a thin but tough adaptor cable

No, what I have is sleeved, I got the black/white one, it's just not thick enough to look like the picture, and instead leaves gaps between each wire.

while i don't have a problem with it my self and happy overall, I guess you're right. When i look at the marketing picture from Corsair, it looks very different from what you get in real life. One thing i didn't particularly like is that there's only one separator thing that came with it, i ended up borrowing some from another cable to keep the cables in order as it would look messy otherwise.

How did corsair get the wires to all line up like that in the picture? the picture is very fake...
