We review a TridentZ 5 RGB DDR5 memory kit from G.Skill that is clocked high, 6800 MHz high and alongside that, it checks in at CL34. We look at the DDR5 4800, 6000 and 7200 MHz performance differenti...

HH thanks for all these reviews, there any chance you'll do these ram tests on a AMD system? Curious to know if there are any benefits going past 6000mhz ram on them

Dear HH, as always I enjoy the reviews, but could you change the shading of the bar a little because I'm already at 150% magnification and it's hard to see the numbers, thanks in advance.

The best result I have seen is on a Gigabyte Aorus Elite AX motherboard,6400 even with 4 dimms is possible, AMD says that the sweet spot is 6000 but with the new bios most of them run 6200 without a problem, the ideal is 6400 with fclk at 2166. Great review.

However from the gaming benchmarks shown, really raises the question of whether or not its actually worth the siginficant extra cost for DDR5 vs DDR4 for gaming?

I dont think it is by a long shot.....

annoyingly that only shows 5200vs6200, interesting to know if there is any difference at 6000 vs 6200 will look more into it!

so the scaling is better w/ ryzen?
i was so set on AMD assertion of 6000 that it was my target for a few months leading up to me buying a G.Skill Flare kit @6000.
i was going to go lower as i heard about the scaling difficulties w/ ddr 5 but in my market 5800 was either the same price or more expensive (idk why). i prefer 4 sticks of RAM 'cuz productivity (currently only 2 stix) and gaming and i bought the matx TUF B650 for that reason (also avoiding the early ITX adoption tax). 6400 is still a bit rich as i'm targeting the 7900X3D and i haven't seen any w/o rgb bling-o-rama yet.
but i will eye that Gig Aorus Elite AX for my work rig that i'm building later this year.
