Updated.....it's the environment's electric field that's damaging our health rather then the computer. Stay safe at home and happy computing. :)

In the world of cell phones and WiFi!

All you need to do to avoid said radiation is to not embrace your PC case and do not kiss display.

News flash whole universe is full of radiation, even bananas are radioactive. Too much radiation is bad, whole human existence basically your bombarded with radiation. Computers/phones/ anything you really use is low power, low frequency RMF because studies show it to be safe at least in lab conditions. This website is like those who claim 5G causes cancer and coronavirus etc, it's basically nonsense.

Radiation is not the same as radioactivity. Normal light is radiation. It's not radioactive. Your PC is not radioactive, neither is your phone.

Whether radiation is harmful or not depends on the amount of energy it has. The radiation coming from your PC has a lower energy than even a normal light bulb outputs. So if you're afraid of your PC, then the light bulbs in your room would have already killed you.

  6. I find it hard to believe some 9W LED bulbs are more of an issue than a PC that can use 400-600W.

I already said that before : 4090s and 7900xtx should come with iodine pills in the box.

Wattage has nothing to do with it. Your PC generates thermal radiation. This is very low energy. It has no means to generate high energy radiation (ultraviolet, x-ray and gamma radiation.) Even a industrial 10000w oven, even though it consumes a lot of power, only emits thermal radiation, which is low energy. The energy of electromagnetic radiation is determined by its wavelength. The shorter the wavelength, the higher the energy of the radiation is. A light bulb generates radiation in the visible wavelength spectrum, which is much higher energy than thermal radiation.

The amount of bullshit on the web about "harmful EMR" is just staggering. "I'm getting hit by my PC's EMR!" Yeah. So what? The most that can happen is your skin getting warmer by a tenth of a degree. To be in danger, you'd have to be hit by ultraviolet or x-ray radiation, and there is absolutely nothing in your computer that would be able to generate EMR of that kind of energy.

Well you are definitely not helping yourself, because smoking is #1 source of ionizing(very dangerous) radiation. Yes, tobacco smoking produces radioactive particles. It's even worse than x-rays and nuclear reactors.

The constant tests we get from dentists/drs are not good either, huge shot of rads and some shielding over part of the body only too, sometimes none. Metals and other things all over in water, etc People who go to the medical/dental salespeople a lot are really exposed in so many ways. Sitting in front of screens almost all the time DOES have health effects, even indirectly. Unhealthy times on almost every level now. Now if I wanted to lower the population...hm.

Absolute rubbish, non-ionising EM waves are harmless (unless the intensity is crazy high, you can still get a nasty burn from strong IR).

Electromagnetism isn't even that complicated, but the Dunning Kruger is strong with many of you.
