FG is better than FSR 2.1 in quality, DLSS 2.5 better than both.

CDPR always has been sponsored by novideo so no surprises here. I would be surprised if they actually tried to have a good FSR implementation. FSR doesn't even have a sharpening slider...Vanilla W3 had gimpworks, W3 next gen has poor CPU optimization so that enabling RT only makes sense with FG...Making the competition look bad while crippling even their own customers with 30 and 20 series GPUs. It's gimpworks reloaded.
Impressed by the tech, angry at novideo shenanigans.

the shimmering issue has been plaguing fsr forever, not only in nvidia games.

True. Not saying that fsr is better than dlss but I've seen it better implemented. And it lacks sharpening adjustment...it looks too blurry at default.

Though it's possible for FSR 2 to not shimmer much, e.g. in Uncharted or Wonderlands. Seems devs need to pay special attention to something specific, else disocclusion is really bad with FSR 2. Happens an awful lot, unfortunately.

I can confirm ghosting to be greatly reduced now.

It certainly isn't the fault of the mod at all, but unfortunately, FSR 2 once again has issues with semi-transparent effects vs. DLSS. When the weather turns foggy, FSR 2 result greatly loses fine details:

It can look great in other scenes and even has advantages over DLSS (e.g. still vegetation is less noisy), but can't say I'd not be disenchanted about its notorious flaws at this point. Also 2D animated surfaces/objects like water or even crawling ants (which are 2D sprites in this game) are just kind of terrible vs. DLSS.

I am in the process of forcing fsr 2.0 into games which dont support it by using mods which replace dlss files.

So far I only mamaged to get Metro Exodus EE working. The gains are welcome.
All those other fsr 2 mods for Cod Mw, Vanguard, Rott, etc won't work.

    Somebody have some insight why?
Is it because of the rx7900xtx I am using?

I play with reshade and in 5k, so in some games fsr is welcome.

Acording to some modders and replies by people on Nexusmods, it (did) work in ROTT. Maybe it don't now after an update?
I was suprised to get it to work in MetroExodus EE and getting a massive gain and it looks really good. But there it stopped, no dice in all COD's, GTA SA..
Heading on to A Plages Tale Requiem.

It worked well with Plague Tale Requiem. I didn't test the others you mentioned.
Can you point me to where they managed to get FSR working with Tomb Raider?

Tried it on ROTT and it worked well.
    But not on SOTTR. Sadly.

Yeah, SOTT is a real bummer.
On that GIThub site there is a list with a lot of extra games wich I have managed to work with FSR2.

Why not simply use NIS through NVCP?

Because a temporal upscale can look better than spatial or they could just be sensitive to sharpening artifacts with NIS.

Ah, right. Forgot FSR 2 does the temporal thing.

Nice that we finally have DLSS/XeSS support in an AMD sponsored title
    FSR.jpg

But FSR2.1 suck the most and the game is literally a POS
