Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (2022)

Okay so...

- Reinstalled windows 11
- tried various gfx drivers
- lowered audio quality from windows
- uninstalled GHub
- various other "fixes" proposed by numerous people
- DLSS on or off, doesn't matter
- texture streaming off and on, doesn't make a difference
- sang Queens Bohemian Rhapsody backwards

screw this game until they can get their act together, enjoy my money!

 

That was a lot of work for a crash they’ve acknowledged is on their end.

 

Only the Bohemian Rhapsody part, that took me ages and I hated every second of it!

As for the rest, its just kinda what I do when I have a problem. I like to troublshoot a lot to make sure my system isn't at fault. Sometimes its frustrating as hell but then at other times you might learn something new.

Like yesterday I learned Logitech still offers their LGS gaming software which means I don't have to use G Hub as I'm not keen on it.

 

where is the shooting house map after the update???

Why aren't you keen on GHub, I have it and it does it's job, switches my dpi when I launch games, not aware it's there really

It is part of the regular rotation. With changing lobbies, you may never encounter it though.

 

i ve come to decide that dlss version 2.4.12v2 is the best version to use, shame that u need to copy it everytime u enter the game, because it just redownloads the one that comes with the game, unfortunately, a bad version with ghosting.

 

So you copy it after you’ve loaded the game? And it always reverts to an older version later on automatically?

 

I copy it after i load battlenet, and then press play, and yes it reverts back when u reopen battlnet, it autodownloads the original dlss file

 

It's just little things really, like how it updates quite frequently and then lets me know how they've added profiles for all these games I don't play and I also don't like how my DPI is set too low for a while when I boot up and it won't return to my settings until GHub is loaded up.

Yeah I agree, Ghub does the job but then again, so did LGS so I'm not sure why they push Ghub. I'm sure they have their reasons and I'm just being a grump!

[EDIT] They released an update Friday or possibly Saturday. Sunday afternoon I was able to play several hours with only 2 crashes and I was actually having fun. Since yesterdays update its back to crashing almost every round again, I even had a crash when loading the game which was a first for me.

 

It may be nothing, but I disabled rebar, disabled hags, set the core count in my config back to default, and disabled the Async compute in the config.

Touch wood I've genuinely only crashed once in about a week.

I've enabled rebar again now to test and add things back see if it crashes.

 

Are you not worried about getting banned?

 

Thanks man! Gonna try with rebar off as its one of the things I haven't tested and take it from there step by step.

 

Does this even use rebar actually? I never really bothered to re-check the whitelist.
The game does seem to be sensitive to a lot of things though, even stuff like power profiles or other energy-saving mechanisms.

Ok disabling HAGS and REBAR has definitely helped a bit, still crashing but nowhere near as frequently. Gonna test a few other things now that I'm getting somewhere like using V-sync.

[EDIT] V-syncing the game helped alleviate the crashing a bit more

 

They say they have done something about the crashing in a new update
