My display keeps flickering at random, even just sitting at the desktop. Random black flashes like it has lost connection for a milisecond. Never experienced this before with previous drivers. Filled out a bug report, but I have zero faith they actually look at those things.

The two latest drivers (maybe 3?) breaks HDR auto switching when watching HDR content with MPC + MadVR. It works the first time but then its breaks until reboot.

Both on Win 10 and 11.
Multiple people reporting it here also:
    https://forum.doom9.org/showthread.php?t=176013&page=145

    It works correctly with 525.25

Thanks for reporting this, I was about to switch driver on my gaming/video machine and it would annoy greatly.

When I try to watch Netflix (whether app or in the browser in my case Edge, Firefox and Chrome) I get a black screen and the screen stays dark.

The series or movie continues to run normally in the background and no error is recorded by Windows.

The only way I can get the PC out of this state is to reset it.

Experiencing the exact same issue too. Which diver did you rolled back into that doesn't have this issue?

I'm not looking for problems, its far less trouble to let things lie.
I'm happy to try a driver with less issues, too many atm.

Yeah I reported this exact same issue time ago, is started on 516.xx and is still here at the moment.

I have had it between different PCs with different graphics cards, different systems , like 3080´s 3060ti, on 3090 aswell....everytime same error \Device\Video3 GPUID 100
The only driver and last that is FREE of this error is 512.95

I found a easy way to replicate this issue

Run OCCT VRAM test for 1 minute only, set it to run 1 minute and then after test complete check event viewer to see this error, most of the time will trow it...if not at first try, just try it again , its just 1 minute test and most likely will be there.

The error is still random, so when it want to trigger if you are playing you will got a crash to desktop and this error.

I think Im using the latest dev build (madVRhdrMeasure165).

BUT its possible this fixed it: November 15, 2022—KB5020030 (OS Builds 19042.2311, 19043.2311, 19044.2311, and 19045.2311) Preview

I rebooted and its working now. But I cant say for sure yet. Maybe something else triggers it later on.

Edit: The win update did NOT fix it. Issue is back. But it seems to work for a while after a reboot and then suddenly it stops working.

People with win11 still has issues tho. After a few hours, playing games and browsing, the issue is back when I start a movie...So the windows update did not solve it.

What's funny is that the 526.61 "Hotfix" driver and all prior drivers were fine at the time. After installing this one, rolling back to older drivers seems to roll that issue back, too. Maybe it's related to the audio driver or GeForce experience? I'm about to use DDU and kill off everything and go back to an earlier revision to see.

EDIT: That didn't do it, either. I never experienced this before installing that Miles Morales driver. Now seemingly every driver does it.

Driver is fine, and those who are having problems its time to revert to windows 10 cause windows 11 is bullshit, you are like labs rats for Microsoft, and wait for windows 12 ;)

exact same thing here. Driver 526.98 caused lot more CPU usage on my side (win 10 home, rez. bar enabled but tried with disabled as well). i used ddu before i rolled back to 526.86 cause this driver was working fine but now having same issue with this one as well. That's really strange.

Maybe you just need to fully power off the pc and displays and perform a cold reboot of all parts.

I think I've ran into the issue too.
Seems like sometimes and on some content (not all) MadVR improperly engages NV HDR - the display is switched into HDR but the video runs as if its a HDR video shown on an SDR display.
I was able to work around this one by enabling Windows HDR for that display and then launching the movie on it - it works fine in this case.
But it does look like there's some sort of a NV HDR API bug in this latest driver.

I am on Win11 22H2 btw so it doesn't matter.
