Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 (2022)

Have you tried a complete uninstall and reinstall?

 

I had a 50 ish gb update when the S1 patch went live on wednesday.

Aside from that no issues, other people in my house have WZ only and no MW2 they just downloaded WZ and have been playing dmz all day no issue

 

Now that my crashing has settled down somewhat ( still get the odd one ), the missus is now crashing all the time whereas she was ok pre-patch. What a mess!

 

My crashes had been gone and now I seem to be crashing again. This leads me to believe something is happening server side causing crashes. I’ve seen people on Reddit say the same thing, they had gone away, and now they’re back.

 

This game is more sensitive to heat from my observation. I have always been able to run with "silent" fan profile in my bios for both system and CPU, for anything and everything nothing overclocked. I started to get crashing freezes black screens in this. Turned profiles to normal (glad I got the Noctuas because there is no sound difference I shoulda done this earlier) and havent had a crash since.

 

Crashes with every single driver since release. Verify files does nothing.

The game is good but this stability is a mess.

No OC on anything and it crashes within a few games.

 

Turned out, my problem was only a small thing, can u believe that i only needed to install arabic language from the install.manager in battlenet, and then select english....why the heck they don t send a memo about this, wasting time for nothinf, a 44mb update of language..wtffd

 

Never had any crashes. Only "disconnected from Steam", and if something happened: My OC was the culprit. If the card is factory overclocked or you're using XMP, look that way.

 

Fixed by installing arabic language, from battlenet install.manager for cod warzone 2, unbelievable it was only that thing which no one would ever ever know....

 

I recommend everyone use fidelityfx cas, makes the game crystal clear. I was using DLSS 2.0 on Quality but have to say cas looks better.

They should sell the 4-5h campaign separately for like 5 bucks or something. Some people are not interested in multiplayer.

 

Yeah as long as you don’t need the extra performance boost of DLSS the sharpening of CAS is nice.

 

CAS with native resolution looks much better than DLSS. It was the same with the original MW2019 at first, somehow DLSS worked better there at some point. I can't stand it in MW2, CAS all the way!

It's longer than that and worth far more than 5$. If you don't like multiplayer, this is possibly the game with the least chance of b*tching around about as there's so much content.
To me, currently, the "regular" multiplayer is possibly the least interesting mode or the one that received the least amount of work. The base is very solid but it lacks some great maps currently.

 

CAS it's only a sharpening filter not a downscaler

 

DLSS isn't either, it's up- or supersampling. The effect on the image can be great though.

The combination between resolution, anti-aliasing & sharpening goes by many names.

 

OK, it's 7 hours with zero replayability. Let's make it 7 bucks then.

 

Go to the movies with that logic, good luck.

Oh, and try to play it on Veteran or get the achievements. It's 20 hours easily, very well made even. MW2 remastered was 30$ and worth the money.

 

Right, potential crashing fix here *knock on wood!!!*



It's basically a case of creating a new folder on the drive you got your game installed and dumping the whole game install there instead and then pointing battle.net ( or steam ) to that folder instead.
