I swapped my 12700k that hit 67C during gaming to a 13700K which is hitting 80C in Baldurs Gate 3 of all games. 360mm AIO .. Ran a quick bench in cpuz and I hit 100 TJ max and throttled.

Anything strange in the Bios like excessive voltages?

not that i see, I lowere vcore to 1.050 , I changed max P core clocks to 5.3 and E cores to 4.0.. I set TDP to 250 i can run cpuz stress and now hit 97C but cinebench still hits and stays at 100c

I originnal set P cores to 5.1 but performace was under a 12900k which seems pointmess... I read a lot of ppl getting 100c in cyberpunk 2077 at 1440p and I run at 4k. i see some ppl say idle is 30c and load in OCCT is 68C , I dont know what to think.

Poor contact with the cooler? Maybe a concave or conex IHS. I'm not familiar with the CPU but have read it runs warm like the new 7*** series.

Like you i also have a 13700KF , this cpu's in fact run a little warmer than older alder lakes 12700k. Check if your paste job is good and verify point of contacts between cpu and ihs is good. Also you might want to check if your aio cooler it's running as it supposed to run. Try lower v.core on the cpu like 1.20v~1.25v as every cpu is different. I'm testing mine on full custom h2o and heat and power goes out the window after 1.40v.

    UPDATE
Im an idiot lol thats my update

na seriously though, I redeated cooler agin and I realized the paste has been to thin lol I did some weird pattern this time , an x with a small dote on top bottom and sides ... temps now load 81c and idle 28 to 32c

Im gonna reseat one more time as cinebench hits 100 and stays around 98c , maybe a bit too much paste this time lol.

Ok same freaking deal grrr .. pump is running fine. And this is at reduced tdp and reduced clocks also reduces vcore to 1.050

Should I accept cyber punk pegging the cpu which is at full power now since i set stock bios no under volt..im hitting 88 to 90c ?no throttling

That's the new standard :D , 90c is the new 60c ( goes for new Intel and AMD cpu's ) , for real it's ok as tdp is 100c , it's running fine as it should be. read the reviews bro , this cpu's do in fact like to run hot.

Thanks bro lol I was having a mini stroke over the temps.. this is kinda nuts though.

Do not worry mine goes to 88c on full custom h2o loop :D

Exactly how do I get vcore to limit itself ? I set it to fixed voltage and 1.20 and it was still spiking to 1.36

Just read the rest of thread, can you list your motherboard and someone can give some settings. Also read your getting 90°C in cyberpunk,it is still ok but high.

I just looked through videos I done, man I have not played cyberpunk yet on 13700KF but I did play Far Cry 6 at 5900Mhz all core but at 4K 165Hz Gsync.Tempetures look normal PC Game.Going to play some Cyberpunk and check temperatures

    So I went and played
Cyberpunk 2077 13700KF for Temperature Test P-Core 5500Mhz E-Core 4400Mhz Ring 4800Mhz HWInfo4 on at end of video so you can check max temperatures and voltages if interested.
