    Waiting for the 22.10.2 release, hopefully 22.10.2 is a stable WHQL driver.

    I have no particular issues with 22.10.1 on W11 22H2 on my 5700 XT. I only noticed the AMD Tray icon starts multiplying now constantly since 22.9.x, lol.

    Well, there's the Youtube stuttering with dual monitor's that needs a driver restart ... And the Portal 2 shadows issue. And the original Crysis 3 hates RDNA1 with a passion ... but that's about it.

    Yeah I get a lot of stutter too with this DX11/UE4 game it’s seems like shader compilation but using the reg tweak to use the old ati dx dlls its much reduced I’ve also cleared the shader cache when I tested that just fyi.

    actually I got some improvement on ARK (UE 4.5.1) some versions ago: higher GPU usages and less stuttering around low framerate scenarios.

    Instead, not sure if it's game fault or driver fault, on warhammer total war 2 I get far higher and stable framerate on DX11 mode than DX12. Rebar on that game seems to work bad on DX12 mode, while in DX11 it may improve a bit the framerate but at the coast of more variable performance.

    it’s DQ XI OG a game so beloved it was delisted from steam. xD Frame rate is pretty variable but 130-300fps is the range I’ve seen when not in a loading screen. It’s funny even the Adrenalin app will say it’s marginal but they must have changed it recently to be more forgiving and it now says it’s optimal which says to me that it’s a not going to fix or can’t fix. Anyway that’s more than anyone wanted to hear about this game. Shader compilation stutter is…. there are no words for it honestly.

    Well, I have spent a good deal of time on these drivers now and I can say for me they are 100% rock solid stable. Everything works as intended and I can't find a single fault with them. Games are smooth as butter and programs work as they should. This is another super solid driver from AMD for me!

    IDK if it will help but here are my GPU setting that I have had running pretty much since getting the GPU near launch.

    Looks like I see more driver timeout problems here.

    I remember correctly, enabling GPU Preemption mode, reduces a driver timeout chance alot, at least in my case APU 3400G.

    Ngl, I still fight with that issues since 22.5.2, even Amernime Drivers still struggle to maintain it. Until 22.9.2 Amernime released that includes "GPU Preemption" tweak, I try that without hesitation.

    Can the tweaks be applied to a vanilla driver?

    Nah i don't know about that, you can ask @mylipho15 , since he forked that tweak for nzdrivers.

    I used to get black screen in chrome, edge, firefox etc whenever watching web video from 2.5.x onwards. I've resolved the issue by disabling hardware acceleration in all these browsers and discord. I'm interested to see if this resolves this issue for you too, as i was certain it was a hardware fault but now firmly appears to be hardware acceleration drivers

    Well, the issue with not having hardware acceleration is that everything will be slower and running off of the CPU. I have a Ryzen 5 3600, and the difference between HW acceleration on and off is noticeable, especially on Discord which becomes very laggy in larger chats.

    It would be much better if this was finally addressed by AMD after all this time but... :/ It does seem to be a hardware acceleration issue regardless, and mostly on multimonitor setups.

    Hmm, I wonder if enabling preemption is worth it though?
    Anyone have this enabled by default on the 6000 series gpus?

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\GraphicsDrivers\Scheduler
    EnablePreemption=1
    0 to disable preemption, 1 to enable preemption (default).

    Or is it better to enable hardware scheduler this way:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\GraphicsDrivers
    HwSchMode=2

    Do those with a 6000 series gpu actually have this registry key name (Scheduler with EnablePreemption in it)?

    This is a GPU Preemption Windows Built-In, not the Radeon GPU Preemption

    6800XT doesn't have it (UWP driver).
