Yeah, some developers switched to the pre-release versions of UE5 back in 2021 and porting to the release versions of UE5 seems to be going relatively smoothly... or at least that's the impression I'm getting. I think because of that, UE5 based games are going to show up faster than we would typically expect.
I'm a bit sad that the super advanced and fancy car destruction system isn't working in packaged built on pc. There's a fairly advanced deformation tech, really cool.
Well, hopefully something interesting actually gets released by years end. If we start seeing fully playable games utilizing the Unreal 5 Engine, imho we`ll finally be seeing the arrival of stuff that truly looks Next Gen. And imho nothing released atm so far looks Next Gen..... to my eyes.
My goodness!!! Insane! Does anyone remember the awe of looking at the water effects of Wave Race 64 back in 96?
Curious, anyone know of any demos that have used the FSR 2 plug-in for UE5 yet? Or have experience messing with it yet? https://www.unrealengine.com/marketplace/en-US/product/fidelityfx-super-resolution-2
UE3 Samaritan tech demo looks wonderfull. I remember UE3 had some issues with texture popup but very high performance. UE5 demos are too demanding and unoptimized. I'd rather have game performance and that UE3 Samaritan look than UE5.
