It is? That's great news but I have to assume that they are trying to break Duke Nukem Forever's record for most delayed game ever and we all know how that ended up!
Apparently this game will finally be getting released next year :-D Dead Island 2 is still in "active development" and may be out in 2023
On it's third development studio, and we haven't seen anything since the first studio worked on it... I have little to no faith in this being worth giving any attention to.
they had the correct formula with the first game. it felt extremely legit and atmospheric. i almost forgot about the second game, so if it's really in active development than i hope they will keep the same formula from the first game.
I liked both original and riptide, it was one of my favorite zombies games. It is a game that spawned dying light series. I hope Dead Island 2 gets released at the end. Also that trailer 2014 was amazing.

To be honest that kinda feels like dying light mixed with dead rising. If anyone recalls that first trailer for a dead island then yeah, vibe is entirely different.
