High power Draw variant, 800w :D

So performance is up 2x but also is power consumption. Progress!

The age of "everything maxed-out" is once again upon us. Now we just need those next-gen RT games.

I only hope the 4070Ti matches the 3090Ti in performance. Not so much in price.

I wonder how Nvidia will structure it's portfolio when people do come to expect that $2500+ cards will be replaced with sub $900 cards in a single generation.

Nobody in their sane mind buys either:
    - a higher tier product for bragging rights (where's the bragging rights when you're effectively always running a mit tier card,
    - a higher tier product for "future proofing" (because it's not future proof if you run a low level tier card 3 years later),
    - every year (which ultimately may half one's sales very easily)

Sure, all rumors and alleged numbers of cores, performance, power draw and price. Big grain of salt. But it only shows how broken Nvidia's portfolio structure is, probably was, and how they will have an even harder time to fix it now.

Only miners could justify those prices for a GPU.
Most gamers can't justify paying such prices to play some games.

That's true. But even if you lower the prices, say 550-650 for a mid tier card, and the once been 1000-1100 for the top dog, who can justify paying 1k when you have to wait 15 to 18 months to pay $500 for it?
I know I'm looking at it quite naive, even if I can afford that kind of money more or less easily, the educated buyer in a capitalist system has the obligation to even check the purchases he can afford...

It all comes down to "how much do I want to spend on my hobby", but from what I would expect from a business point of view, they haven't really helped themselves... and neither did AMD with doing just about the same, imho.

The 3090ti was "only" 1999$US MSRP.
    A bargain compared to 2500.:D
