    I reckon it is true that Samsung's low-power processes (for advanced semiconductors) are much better than their high-power ones. It would make sense seeing how low-power is more important for Samsung's own products. TSMC doesn't have its own end-user/consumer products, so they must be equipped to serve both high- and low-power desiring customers equally.

    TSMC was introduced to high power processes by AMD who also has fab experience.
    it wasn't quick or easy, but it was revolutionary.
    Samsung doesn't have a partner in that fashion. they tried w/ Nvidia but face-palmed it from being over ambitious, and their own uArch leaves a whole hell of a lot to be desired (but they're the only vertically integrated player for low power just as Intel is the only vertically integrated high power uArch/fab) so they'll get a ton of contracts.
