@illusiveman I already told to the customer support the solution, so they know.

@zeusola I don't see any major difference in boot up, so I don't personally mind. I also left fast boot in BIOS disabled, which doesn't have a significant impact either. I think these features are more beneficial for slower computers, especially for ones without SSD.

Unfortunately this all is due to AMD having various driver development branches, for which Nvidia ridiculed them about not long ago. It is not the best way to do things for sure if accountability and stability is the goal.

fastboot basically store memory to be loaded later when you boot the computer, its actually the opposite for people without SSD..
as for "various driver development branches".. its kinda whacky indeed, but at least its not Intel Driver Schedules.. which kinda sad for people who actually use it..

Are you even sure those drivers are in that package though?

spoiler alert: they're not.

5. Which drivers? D3DVendorName for me has this with 22.Q2:

Code:
C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository΀149.inf_amd64_8786656614ef748a\B380089\amdxn64.dll
C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository΀149.inf_amd64_8786656614ef748a\B380089\amdxn64.dll
C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository΀149.inf_amd64_8786656614ef748a\B380089\amdxx64.dll
C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository΀149.inf_amd64_8786656614ef748a\B380089\amdxx64.dll

At the very least, I can only reproduce the Oculus issue with the May Preview driver, 22.5.2, and now 22.Q2, which implies they all have the same implementation going on. 22.5.1 is fine.

I thought you were talking about the updated OpenGL drivers specifically.

For as much as people like discussing OpenGL and AMD's OpenGL performance, I'm kinda surprised there isn't a dedicated thread to OpenGL gaming: Windows, Linux and Emulators.

I've recently been amazed at how excelent OpenGL performs on AMD on Linux, using PCSX2. And even dead uArches like HD 5000 and HD 6000 are perfectly fine for emulators on Linux using OpenGL. Even RPCS3.

Yes this is what I was alluding to.

There was someone around here who thought the updated OpenGL drivers were present in the 22.5.2 Performance Preview driver package. They also thought that the DX 10/11 PAL drivers targeted NV1X as well as 2X.

I know this is the internet but I don't get how or why people spout bullshit with impunity.

Guys, does anyone have an option in MSI Afterburner to show the option for GPU Voltage (for Navi21 card)?
It disappeared for me.

Some people already reported this issue but I too got stutter problems with this driver 22.5.2. I didn't have them before I guess because I didn't have SAM enabled, due to having invalid settings in BIOS, but once I enabled it, games started to stutter, at the same time audio crackling as well.
I don't recommend to install this driver at all, and in general, if you just want your PC to work normally, only install WHQL certified drivers that are recommended by AMD like 22.5.1 - this driver works well (enough) for me. I would have not updated to this 'optional' driver either, but AMD's support person asked me to do so.

What is your Gpu, by the way!?
On my Vega 64, it's working wonderfully well, better than recomended Amd crapping unoptimized drivers!

Edit:
So sorry, I thought this thread was "Amernime Zone Radeon Insight".
Damn!
Please delete this post! ;)

I have your video card, with SAM enabled, on 22.5.2 and I don't have any stutter issues.

Well I don't know what else could be the culprit than SAM + this particular driver, since I didn't change anything else beside that other than swapped Displayport connector on the GPU's side. Many people complain about stutter on this driver, do a Google search, though I'm not sure if their cases are SAM related.
Anyway, just avoid these optional drivers if you are not particularly keen on new features. It is very obvious that this driver has stemmed from some other development branch with it's great DX11 performance boost, but otherwise it is immature.
