    '...and their pricing are known'.

    Is that English?

I had a Gigabyte gaming laptop and to be honest the build quality wasnt great, it has sort of put me off using them again.

English is a "fun" language. Sounds off to your ear but I believe this is correct. Then again I failed English a couple times so maybe I'm dead wrong. :D It was just so boring.

"When deciding whether to use is or are, look at whether the noun is plural or singular. If the noun is singular, use is. If it is plural or there is more than one noun, use are." <-- grammarly.com

Think my next motherboard might be something different from Gigabyte. Although, it's going to have to come down to price/performance for me.

OK so essentially within the next few years a gaming PC (or a high end PC) will only be something in the upper middle class can afford assuming there is still such a thing in the coming years. I find this concerning because the higher these prices trend in general for laptops and PCs the more folks you leave behind on the lower end scale of what people make each year. And the reality is that pool of people is fairly large and growing by leaps and bounds.

Now if you are somewhat older like me you will remember how PCs started. They were initially kind of a luxury item. But that was before the internet was critical for functioning in modern life. If we go back to that you will have a large pool of people who won't have PCs. It will be like say India (as I understand it) where folks mostly use phones (usually low end) to interface with the internet.

Class has nothing to do with wealth, its 2022, a kid in a council estate bedroom can make thousands selling drugs or mining coin or just by coming up with a good idea and taking some entrepreneurial risk.
Earnings and disposable income are also not always the same thing.

Yeah but when pulling the trigger and a big cash outlay, something put you off. And the opposite applies, my current Asus ROG gaming laptop is one of the best hardware choices ive made, and im sure that will have some influence on my next purchase, as well as CS and warranty.

So the X670 are going to start at more than 300€!?

I was hoping for lower prices and if the DDR5 modules don´t drop in price, then no new system for me...

My CPU, Memory and Motherboard upgrade cost me a total of €650 last year. For a 11700, Z590 and 32GB.

Looks like that's not really possible anymore going forward.

Spend the savings on Noctua Chromax :p

B650 boards will cost 130-200$. The issue is high cost ddr5 but it will go down eventually.

To take exceptions and apply them as a rule does not mitigate the reality that most people face. What you have mentioned is possible yet rare in the overall. In MOST cases your amount of income (whatever the source) will dictate what you can afford to purchase either as a necessity or a simply a want. In MOST cases higher income earners will generally be a separate class. That's pretty much how humanity has operated since it started.
