When IOI drop the price of Hitman 2016 Part 3 from the $150 range for a new game, to the $15 DLC price is clearly is, then maybe I will test this feature out :)

Swansong is ugly looking game, with wooden animations.
Bad texture streaming, texture popping, and bad performance.

    Quick example:
Long hallway in the start of game, few normal light sources, nothing fancy, few shadows, few NPCs and player model on screen, framerate is good, ~75fps on Ultra/High mix. (don't care about post proccesing crap)
A little camera rotation, and close up to player model, and boom!
Fps goes to ~35-40, and on screen visible is only (ugly) player model face.
    LMAOOOOOO.

GTX 1070 recommended for this outdated visual mess...
The lack of competence among developers is a plague, even bigger plague since release of PS4 and XB1.

I had 3080 for well over a year now and realized that unfortunately not that many games that I play support DLSS (or they supported very first crappy DLSS version when I played, which looked blurry and unusable). And it's not like I play obscure games, I play very well known games like ER, MS FS, FH5, Halo etc. So all the hype and Nvidia's marketing aside, I've used DLSS properly from start to finish in only 2 or 3 games in a period of 1.5 year. Meh.

For most games you can update the DLSS file (nvngx_dlss.dll) that is located in the game folder for your game and replace it with the latest version of that file that contains the latest "DLSS libraries", which can improve the image quality of the DLSS implementation within that game. Here's an article on it:
    https://www.tomshardware.com/uk/news/dlss-client-library-manual-update
I've found version 2.4.3 to be the best out of the few that I've tried (which happens to be the latest one), they do seem to be able to reduce the amount of blurring that DLSS can sometimes cause....I've also found that the SDK releases of these DLSS files seem to be the worst, which have given me noticeable ghosting....so in my limited experience the DLSS files that have been released with games are the best ones to use.
There is a library being created by TechPowerUp of all these different versions of nvngx_dlss.dll, here it is:
    https://www.techpowerup.com/download/nvidia-dlss-dll/

(Keep a copy of your original DLSS file for your game before you replace it.....so you can restore it later if you can't find a better one)

I've found DLSS to be a good & worthwhile tech.

It's even easier if you use DLSS swapper: https://forums.guru3d.com/threads/improve-dlss-performance-quality-dlss-swapper.439639/

I guess that takes a little bit of the hassle out of it, but I don't find manually doing it is any hassle at all, and I'd rather not have to have a third party program installed for something that's so easy & simple to do manually.....but for folks not used to using file explorer it could help them.

Sounds like you have a lot of time on your hands. I like to be able to download and apply the latest DLSS to all my games with a couple of clicks. That allows me to spend more of my limited time playing.

It would be more handy if nvidia let us change the dlss in nvcp.

You were right to post the link to that program, some people are gonna find it useful even if I wouldn't.
