    Those spinners still hold a lot of value.
    Just avoid SMR.

    Indeed... 14 TB has been stuck at 230-250 € (Amazon DE) for nearly 2 years now.

    I bought my first one late 2020 on a price dip for 227 € and they are still around there today... (thanks Chia for f*king up the market for over 9 months)

    UltraSMR? My guess that this is at least as bad as regular SMR - just higher density. I'm excited about the higher capacity CMR drives though. Hopefully it will drive down high capacity CMR hard drive costs over time; that is if their initially limited availability becomes much less limited. I guess we'll see.
