PS5 ssd is slow updating games Horizon forbidden west

    1min 30s to dl the 900mg file and 7mins.30s to install it, that is not right at all, that is PS3 time era updating. lol
    Only thing i still don't like about the PS consoles even today is that you need double the storage room to download the file and the same amount of free space again to install it, and after installation the downloaded file is then deleted, i have no idea why Sony still use this method today.

    It's the curse of cross gen, cross gen games use the older file system for installing/updating which means it has to go through the 'copying' phase that PS4 games do.

    Nope, I have one game installed and I have the same problem. DL is fast but the "Copying" phase is slow.

    then maybe it is what anxious_fox says?

    Though i had bunch "cross" gen games that download and installed super fast on my ps5 nvme, I would say test another "nvme" drive but yah sony saw fit to solder that thing on make it super expensive to "fix" if it drive issue
