    That's essentially speedrunning, pouring hundreds of hours into a game to achieve a record of "how little can you play the game to consider it beaten".

    Personally i consider it to be up there with one of most "concept contradicts the idea it's applied to" kind of things in existence but i assume many forms of sports, hobby or entertainment could be deconstructed this way. In the end - to each their own and i'm not the one to tell people how they should be having fun or enjoying a game.

    I suggest anyone look up what SGDQ is before they bash speedrunning. Im not into it, but I can see the fun in metagaming especially if you are a programmer... Anyways, SGDQ has raised hundreds of millions for breast cancer and its just a bunch of speed running enthusiasts getting together.

    • Added an option to turn camera auto rotate function ON/OFF.
    • Added some event phases for the NPC “Patches”

    Balance adjustments
    • Increased Colossal Swords/Colossal weapons attack speed and lowered their recovery time. Jump attack not included.
    • Increased the two-handed attack damage of Colossal Swords/Colossal Weapons. Jump attack not included.
    • Increased physical block rate and guard boost of the Colossal Sword, Colossal Weapons, Great Sword, Great Hammer, Great Axe, Great Spear, and Halberd weapon classes.
    • Increased the damage of Grafted Blade Greatsword.
    • Increased the damage of Devourer’s Scepter.
    • Decreased the scaling of status effect build-up from spells and incantations of Albinauric Staff and Dragon Communion Seal.
    • Decreased the effect of Greatshield Talisman for weapons with high block rate.
    • Shortened the length of the madness afflicted animation.
    • Lowered the speed of madness buildup recovery.
    • Slightly increased FP and Stamina growth rate at lower levels*
      *Players will need to perform any of the following actions for the changes to be reflected. This is required only once. New characters created after this update will not require this action.

    • Fixed a bug during character appearance change menu in which some parameter changes were sometime not reflected.
    • Fixed a bug that prevented a dialog from appearing when executing "Leave" on some items.
    • Fixed a bug that allowed unauthorized items to be passed to other players.
    • Fixed a bug in multiplayer that prevented grace to be registered on the map if it was found just before the player is summoned.
    • Fixed a bug that sometime prevented the mechanic of Rennala Queen Of The Full Moon fight from working properly during cooperative multiplayer.
    • Fixed a bug that sometime prevented the player from entering the boss area after defeating Morgott, the Omen King.
    • Fixed a bug that prevented "Edgar the Revenger" and "Festering Fingerprint Vyke" from invading after defeating all the bosses in Liurnia of the Lake.
    • The item Tonic of Forgetfulness can now be obtained at the Volcano Manor if the player wasn’t able to obtain it due to quest progression.
    • Fixed a bug that caused the reduction of runes due to NPC "Gostoc" when player died in "Stormveil Castle" to occur at an unintended timing.
    • Added a protective barrier to Millicent after helping her at Miquella’s Haligtree so she cannot be unintentionally killed.
    • Fixed a bug that sometime prevented the player from obtaining the reward after defeating the Dung Eater.
    • Fixed a bug that sometime prevented the player from progress Diallos’ questline.
    • Fixed a bug that sometime prevented player from duplicating remembrance at the Walking Mausoleum.

    Thank God they have added an option to turn off auto rotate when locking onto enemies. This has really been a bugbear of mine and ended up in my demise many a time.

    It does feel considerably smoother, at least on my side. I'd like the option to get rid of the vignetting effect as well. The option to turn off auto-rotating camera was a welcome one. All in all, I hope that this game is treated well by the devs/publisher.

    I want to thank you for your video, but at the same time find it a bit weird that you call such stuttering "so smooth" above. For me, at least judging by the video, the problem seems worse than what many people who actually complain about it make it sound. This just means that not all people are as sensitive to such "abrasive" motion. When I was a teenager I often did not care about stuff like this that much, but these days I do notice such issues more easily and they bother me too. This doesn't mean I've become picky, it's just that I do enjoy very much smooth performance, that I prefer to play games that work over those that don't. I very much wish to experience this game but I'm not buying it before it works smoothly, so once again thanks for your effort!

    EDIT. I now have watched the whole video and realize the stutter is rather situational, certainly related to loading of assets as aknowledged, so overall it doesn't bother gameplay that much, albeit fighting certain bosses can be hard I've read (?). If this was the final form of the game, I would buy it for a cheaper price like 10 € and just accept the issue, but since the game is expensive and thankfully the devs are carrying out their responsibility of fixing it, I will wait, but again, I can see how the majority of players are not bothered.

    Patch 1.04 finally gave the option to turn Off the auto camera rotation (auto-center, basically).

    My slight feeling of dizziness and motion sickness that was occasionally caused by this issue is now completely gone. I can move the camera and look around freely while moving forward on foot or mounted (the problem would mostly show up when trying to look around or diagonally while pressing W and/or A or D; basically any diagonal movement was a big no no). I was actually contemplating using a Mod that did just that, although the mod also fixes the auto camera center reset when you're trying to target something but there's nothing in sight to target; which I ABSOLUTELY hate. However, the mod forces us to play in Offline mode and to use an Anti-Cheat disabler, which I didn't want to since I do enjoy the Online features and the atmosphere it provides seeing the ghosts of other players around (or checking the blood pools at times and seeing how someone died; to me it's just part of the game's experience, I do enjoy it).

    So anyway, if anyone else like me who suffered from a bit of motion sickness and had to be 'careful' on how they had to use the camera movement prior to this patch then PRAISE THE ELDEN RING! Our prayer was answered. Turn that damn auto-rotation option Off and suddenly feel the bliss of freedom.

    It's one of first things people modded off sekiro and i found it to be hardly playable without that mod. Shame they won't retroactively patch that out for that one as well.
