Thanks a lot, did this resolve the stuttering for you? If so what CPU/GPU combo are you rocking? Thanks, I do have Nvidia hardware so we'll see if it's a net improvement. It sucks that you lose the online play with a lot of these fixes though. My hope was that they included a hidden DX11 option like FF7 Remake, but alas.
It really is, I agree, but the (I assume?) asset streaming + shader compilation stutter is really making this experience rough for me.
Elden ring 1080p (360hz) max settings 12900k DDR5 6800c30 49ns 3090 stock Optane 905p storage Looks like the performance is decent
I have a feeling they needed to use dx12 for the open world, dx11 draw call limit may have made the performance even worse.
I have a 1060 GTX so it is the LOWEST spec with a 4c/8t CPU. I tried it and Vulkan works but is slow! Others have said Radeon GPUs run way better in Vulkan.
Considering you are using a 12900K with a 3090, at 1080p, with a game that looks like an early PS4 game, getting only 150 fps is really bad. It speaks volumes to how badly the game is optimized.
@nizzen Can you check how many CORES / THREADS it is actually using? Specs say 4c/4t min but I think it is really more than that.
There's a program for that, it was posted earlier in this thread - https://www.flawlesswidescreen.org/#Download It does more than just widescreen, it can change FoV, vignette, increase the fps cap to 360, etc. Also, make it a habit to check PC Gaming Wiki, they often have fixes posted. - https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Home
Look, I really like the game, but that fps on a 3090 at 1080p with what appears to be no AA, OOF. Also two of those pics are looking at nothing, go fight the dragon and watch the fps drop in the fires. On a side note, damn I need to find a way to disable the CA
Pictures is downscaled All settings is at max. 1080p is on my benchtable, so that's why I'm testing 1080p. Point here is to test the cpu. I haven't seen any other post any fps in this game. Maybe I'm the only one actually playing the game here with unlocked fps. Pretty much the same fps in all open areas. Big monsters or not. Maybe it's other results with slower cpu and memory. Fps in BF V is pretty good too
