If I go to AMDs own forums I would think they never get it right.
If I go to Nvidias own forums I would think they never get it right.

Then use a driver thats older. I wouldnt blame AMD always. Maybe the game itself is buggy.

    Hello Everyone,
I always install with "Driver Only" on my desktop and on my laptop. For Desktop, You know if a way exist for enable AMD RIS (Radeon Image Sharpening) without AMD Radeon Control Panel ?
    Registry maybe ?

On my other computer (laptop asus G513QY advantage) i can set that with Asus Armoury crate (very useful)

Thank you and have a nice day.

The grass is always greenier on the other side until you are on the other side.

That's an understatement if I ever read one. There are a ton of bugs with that game that also include...you guessed it, stuttering. A lot of different fixes.

Do you see performance change in God of War after rolling back?

Thanks, asked mainly because I'm still at 21.9.1 and was wondering whether the "game ready" driver was worth installing.

I'll wait for 21.1.3 then before updating (RSR).
Or, possibly until a driver that states it improves GoW performance.

Ok so now how would you manage to update the game without Battle.net?

WZ is a microstuttery mess after VG integration and freesync doesn't work as intended. Massive screen tears all over the place, Verdansk ran great, buttery smooth but since Caldera was introduced, not anymore, although I have better FPS on Caldera. 180+ fps feels like 55-57fps on some areas, pretty weird.

So that being said, I've came across a potential fix with a minor drawback: vsync must be on so you'll have to deal with increased input latency, BUT if you enable the in-game fps limiter to 1-3fps under your monitor refresh rate (for me, at 144Hz, I have to set the in-game limiter to 136fps and the actual fps will stay at 141-143fps) the extra input latency is almost non existent and the game is sooooo smooth, no screen tearing or microstuttering.

    Try it out.

In theory you should get the same smooth gameplay with vsync off and frame limiter set to 136 or whatever as long as it's below the refresh rate of the monitor. Freesync should work as long as the fps is in that freesync range of 48-144 or whatever your monitors freesync range is. If that's not the case then it's a bug in the drivers or game engine idk.

Yes, that's exactly how I played the game before Caldera, vsync off and 136fps limit with no issues whatsoever. Now I have to use vsync on in order to enjoy the smooth gameplay.

Idk if it's driver related, I've tested older drivers that ran smoothly on Verdansk with no success on Caldera, so all the signs are pointing towards the game.

It's an ancient problem of per profile settings sometimes not being reliable. Probably even the previous control panel from before the last UI overhaul had it. Profiles and panel need rewrite from scratch imho, but they'd probably botch it anyway...

If you are experiencing stuttering in COD games you have to alter 2 settings when editing adv_options.ini found in documents folder
    RendererWorkerCount = "6" <---use 6 if you have 6 or more cores
VideoMemoryScale = "0.55" <---use if you have 8 GB or less ram

This has always been the fix for stuttering. Posted back when Modern Warfare was released.

    I guess it's still buggy...
Speaking of profiles when are they gonna support Microsoft Store games in profiles ?
For example Halo infinite...the Microsoft store version.
