As the title says. My daughters 5600G refuses to work on her new B550m Mortar motherboard. When booting up the PC stucks on a black screen and the CPU debug led is solid red. Both the CPU and the motherboard works. The 5600G works fine on a A520 motherboard, and the B550 motherboard works with both a 3700X and a 5900X. I even tried 3 different sticks of RAM. All 3 modells works with all parts as long as i don't pair the 5600G with the B550m mortar. So all the parts does work as intended minus this combo. The BIOS version on the B550m Mortar is 7C94v19 from 2021-12-20. So it definitely has support for the 5600G. Is this a common issue?

plug a display into the motherboard and change to pegi video from onboard.

Solid red also occurs when the display is not detected (or init failure)

what graphics card is it? might require a bios or gop update.

Try previous bios 7C94v18 when they added support for Cezanne.

    The only solution:

get the motherboard mounted with a supported CPU from that period of the BIOS {..i mean...the time the motherboard was released, the BIOS did not have compatibility for your new CPU you have right now! } (as the new CPU does not have the new bios that supports yours)

That is get it to the shop you buy it.....they may do needful

the motherboard is already running a bios that supports the 5600G.

Hmm, have you tried puling the battery every time you try a modification to reset the bios to new config.

Same result with a working graphics card as with the integretad. The PC does not even post. The order it test it self when it get switched on is CPU, RAM and GPU. Only one boot it got through CPU to only stop at RAM. But only once!

Did the first startup with that BIOS. Didnt work so i updated it whit the latest.

The BIOS on the motherboard has full support for the 5600G. And the CPU cant have a BIOS loaded into it!

Yes, i have tried that to. More than a few times now :(

One final question i would ask...why you went with that "build" (hardware)?
Found the same problem as yours on the net...
i am sorry....but try to go to the shop you bought the motherboard and explain to them....may be they can find a solution:(

Did you install the RAM(s) in the correct corresponding slots?
