Why would you see a performance gain between 2.00x and 2.25x DL?

He compared DSR legacy with the new DLDSR and the result is more of less the same.
Nvidia claims the new DLDSR costs less in term of fps

    Tested some FH5 today:
In short, if You want better IQ with Less Shimering then x1.78 DLDSR is a way to go.
Small +/- 4-8FPS hit with better IQ. Normal DSR is similar to desired res. so the Hit is big.

    Note:
In some games (FH5) there is some small artifacts* from time to time (Fixed: Reset NVCP 3D settings and set again).
We need to wait for DLDSR ver. 2.0 :p (like always, cuz' the tech is very new).

Q: But it is usable, right?
A: Yes it's fine, but in time it gets better.

    * Not caused by DLDSR.

AC it's pretty CPU heavy. Anyways, I think Nvidia wants us to see that regular DSR 4x outputs similar IQ vs. DLDSR 2.25x with less performance impact. Comparing it with 2x DSR it's worthless because it's basically the same performance wise (but not in IQ)

So, no one has this glitch, and how to fix?

edit: i see only legacy scaling here..

    Compared to DSR 4x, but @TakesBeer tested 2x :p

As far as I can tell, nvidia claims that DLDSR 2.25x looks as good as DSR 4x, but is faster.

Ok, if you compare the two methods but that advertising with Prey slide is a little bit fake IMHO, because they show the fps of DLDSR close to native (1080p)

It's faster only because it's 2.25x instead of 4x. People think it's some kind of magic and it's faster at the same render resolution which is false.

excuse me if this has been gone over but first time GFE user here. always gone clean.

    i have a 24" 1080p primary/apps and 43" 4K TV (junk) secondary/gaming.

GFE won't "work" w/any games unless i make the TV primary - the second i hit ALT-Z or ALT-F3 (for filter) its effectively the same as tabbing out, the little dashboard pops up on the 1080 screen and GFE doesn't recognize any games running.

i don't see any GFE settings to adjust for that.

and also, the weird thing is when i enable sharpening globally in the CP, i get the NIS indicator on the TV but not the 1080 screen.

    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

There's bottleneck in that PR Prey slide.

    145FPS - 1080P render resolution
    143FPS - 1620P render resolution

if we want to use image sharpening in particular games FIRST we HAVE TO enable NIS in global profile. This..... creates performance DEGRADATION fps loss according to the game title between %3-5 ..:( What is "THIS" ? This is "NIS" .. Why do we have to enable "NIS" to use image sharpening.? if there is no way to seperate NIS from Image Sharpening then you guys pls find a way to fix this unnecessary PERFORMANCE DEGRADATION..

=> another issue is NIS only scales according to the native screen resolution that doesnt accept DSR resolution where Magpie and LS do the job succesfully...

Im not the only one saying this but afaik you still never respond this until now o_O

I just installed God of War, DLSS is listed as "not supported".
I installed the drivers twice, the second time I did a clean install.
DLSS is working as intended in all the other games with DLSS support.

Anyone else stuck with the issue where an Ultrawide 3440x1440 monitor is read as 4K 16:9 by Nvidia DSR and the resolutions of DSR are therefore wrong?

Been trying everything to fix this, even deleting resolutions through CRU.

There won't be a fix for native resolution performance loss, Pascal doesn't support programmable scalers/sharpening so the effect is simulated (to a performance reduction) on shaders, don't use NIS if you plan to use native res, sharpen with your panels osd instead.

Can we please get back the old sharpening tool as an option? Nowhere to be found for Pascal

I reinstalled the driver again, clean install and it still shows only legacy DSR.

So is this new DLDSR only for newers gpus? I mean mine is apparently capped to 120Hz, classic DSR all 144Hz.. what kind of sorcery is that.. xD

Works for me with 144Hz. Though I use a custom EDID via CRU where I deleted all but one native 1440p 144Hz mode. Because sooner or later an issue like this always pops up.
