FSR Thread

Using Magpie or Lossless Scaling is going to apply the FSR to the entire screen, including the UI so you will get blurry fonts.
If you set the resolution low enough you may see some FPS gains, but some games will have issues with the mouse, etc.
In game scaling option is probably best.
I feel like Lossless Scaling is for old, low-res games - not modern games that already have built in scaling.
I'm finding Magpie+FSR works pretty well for some older games.
I got good results upscaling from 800x600 to 1920x1440. Resolutions lower than 800x600 gave poor results scaling to 1440p.

Been playing around with the Lossless Scaling application a bit, does pretty well scaling to 1440p with my setup. 900p or 1080p up to my native 1440p translates pretty well and my Vega 64 can handle it better in demanding games. - its another tool in the toolkit

 

Does not work in warzone unfortunately

 

The only now to gain fps and make it 99 average in warzone, is lowering res scale in game to 95, and setting the optimized low and med settings, with smaa t2x, but i wanted lossless scale to work in order to get 120 fps, shame it doesn t work

 

Luckily it's being officially built into the next driver release as "Radeon Super Resolution".

Either way, I have the app as well and I'm downloading Warzone now to give it shot. I'll see if I can get it working and let you know

Ok tried... this game handles windowed mode in a very bizarre way. So I couldn't get it to work.

*edit2* You could use the games built in scaler. Pull the resolution down to around 83% and then use Radeon Image Sharpening(try around 25% or higher if you like). Not a nice as FSR, but it's an alternative for now.

 

I am pleased with the results of FSR in GOW.

Well, the boys at DigitalFoundry have not done the comparisons yet, they'd go, "But, but....but you didn't freeze the frame and pixel peep at 4x zoom!"

 

They may not do one. They have said they have no interest at looking at FSR because they don't find the tech interesting.

*Edit* Just watched their God of War video and they didn't look at it in the video, didn't compare against it and only briefly mentioned it at the end while also suggesting it's a bi-linear upscaler... which Alex already knows it isn't... -_-". When it comes to FSR you can pretty much be assured that DF won't do it right at this point.

 

They're all in for the green team, plain and simple. Whenever I see a link for a review or their site, I'd just ignore 'em....

They are very nvidia biased especially that fanboy alex. There is no way he'll look at any amd tech. Its surprising he includes any amd gpus at all. Lately i dont watch their videos either, well only retro videos from John.
