The game is far from a "technological disaster". It has some issues performance wise, but, compared to other releases in the past... hardly anything game breaking. Hell, I played and finished it in 16 hours. No stutters, no crashes or hitches or lockups.
Same here. Ran smooth maxed out for me and not one crash either. "technological disaster"? A bit dramatic of a statement lol.
Wow it's running "smooth" on a $3K card? What a bummer... For a microsoft studio's AAA game with large budget, which was years in development and still delayed it's total disaster. What have they delivered? Two generations old lighting, last gen rendering pipeline, terrible streaming overloading 4c8t CPUs, empty and lifeless openworld, terrible draw distance for trees or any vegetation, with everything static without a glimpse of life and all that with performance worse than RDR2, GRB and pretty much any other open world game with much better visuals.
Ran smooth here as well. Finding the right settings, the game played great. But, seems you are determined to just try to tear the game down... So, you do you. Personally, I had a lot of fun with the game. And I'm glad I played it.
Are you still running the i7-2600K ? I'd imagine that would be one of the main things holding you back, for me it's my video card that doesn't even meet minimum requirements, it's playable but not smooth always... I stopped playing it until I get something a bit more capable. What I have played of it though I've really enjoyed.
The game has some hitches here and there(When driving in campaign) even on the very high-end systems. Let's hope that they will fix it via a patch.
Should I be sorry if I have a 3k card? Others have said it ran smooth for them and yet here you are being upset. Gamer's today really need to get a grip. I like BF 2042, look at that thread, it's a complete disaster with the same Guru's just moaning and now in this Halo thread we have the same thing.
I'm still having a good time with Halo. It's keeping my interest and CTF is fun. My colleague has a 1660TI in his laptop and with the scalers Halo looks great with nice performance. He was the life of the party at Starbucks. People recognized the aliens and were laughing at the animations. We definitely did not get much work done. Lol!
I find myself being stealthy just to execute a nice elbow. Lol. I'm coming back to Halo after tweaking Kena Bridge Of Spirits.
It brings nothing new or innovative. Still an enjoyable shooter to pass some time with it though Performance was also good with some minor hiccups in outdoor scenes.
This game requires some beefy hardware to run smoothly. My old 6700k/2080 chugged outside in 4k. Well...it ran decent frames wise but you wouldn't know it as it stuttered and just felt sluggish. New rig runs it like butter. Playing it slowly. Few missions at a time Can't play too long or I get bored. Fun in small doses.
I also think my 7700k is the culprit of this sluggish behavior outdoors. Can't recall the average cpu usage but I am pretty sure I never - not even instantly- saw a 100% peak though.
Does not matter, if you do not have a high end cpu and gpu, when you reach the outside missions, you will run the game @ 30 fps, and lagging and stuttering like crazy.
No it's not so bad for me. 4k ultra I am averaging 60 fps with some dips in the 50 area(not below). But yes, there is lag. I don't remember if I have async compute on or off and I don't have access to my pc now. I think it's off though. What I find strange is that I am averaging 70 fps on LOW and 60 fps on ULTRA. Only 10 fps difference between the lowest and the highest graphics settings it's quite uncommon.
I can see you have one top gpu 3080 ti, that´s why you have those high fps! The common mortal cannot afford those kind of cards yet But its normal all that lag and stuttering that you are having even with high fps, its a new game engine and they did not care to optimize it. That is why it hammers soo heavy the cpu and gpu!
