You don't but my guess is they don't test out most titles unless performance isn't good enough.

I've tested several games and have noticed measurable gains so there is no reason that only a few titles should support it out of the box.

The micro stuttering is real on these drivers.
totallly annoying the crap out of me.

With these drivers I started getting a crash to desktop when loading Battlefield 2042, so I went back to the 472.47 drivers and Battlefield 2042 was completely smooth, one round lasted for over an hour and a half!

Hey gentlemen, I am having an odd issue and not sure if linked to this driver or if nvidia drivers ever do this period but my Win10 power plan since seemingly when I installed 497 continuously gets reset to balanced-like all the time? I run it on Ultimate Performance always and only time in the past I ever had my power settings adjusted without my consent was oculus setting it to High Performance occasionally. I just can't figure out what the hell is going on? I mean 5-10 minutes later boom back to balanced? idk anyone wiser than me who maybe has experienced anything like this would appreciate guidance. Thanks

this is done by certain snakeoil optimizer tools such as gamebooster.

nvidia's driver has no ability to do so

I wonder if this could be used to run VAAPI encoding in WSL2 on Nvidia (and all other vendors who support it)?
Though given that there's already NVENC with the same level of support on both Windows and Linux (and it doesn't suck like AMF), it is probably least interesting with Nvidia.

NVIDIA has never supported VAAPI in their life, why would they start now? :D

Yes nVidia already supports H264/265 - 4K video encoder/decoder, Cyberlink PowerDvd latest version does supports it too

Yeah but it "brings" them through specific applications which must bundle D3D12Core.dll within them.
So it's basically similar to a wrapper of sorts where the application is using it's own D3D12 API implementation instead of using the system provided one.
So if you want to use these features in Win10 you'll have to find an application which will be using them through Agility SDK.

My card was perfect and the driver too, i thanks to all for the help, the problem was the psu, it simply can't handle the spike that rtx 3090 have.
I got a 1000 watt and now all run perfect, coil whine is less too.

Yeah, the recommended 750 watt psu is honestly not enough. Im glad i kept my 1200 watt psu after i ditched sli - cause i still need it for my 3090 strix with 480 watt power limit :D

What driver did you roll back to, that doesn't suffer this awful Micro-stutter? RTX 2080 TI here.
