This driver breaks Cyberpunk 2077. If you're playing the game, avoid this release. Tested on RX 570 4GB.

 

What do you mean breaks ? I just played yesterday for 1-2 hours and nothing happened. I'm on a 6700XT though.

getting random flashing horizontal lines with this version in tarkov, didnt happen before and happens only in tarkov rx580

 

I don't understand what your problem is. Whenever people report issues about AMD's drivers being problematic, there are a bunch of clowns in this particular thread who are very quick to dismiss their problems and try to pin it on the users, which most of the time is not the user's fault. The fun part is, despite these "avid defenders of AMD's honor" claiming the problems being non existent, AMD eventually starts mentioning said problems in their "known issues" list...

For example, the clocks do get stuck at 1244/300 MHz, with GPU-Z showing a 100% load on the GPU, and I use a single monitor. So, the logic multiple monitors raise the GPU clocks do not apply to me. It's a bug. You disable and re-enable your GPU in the device manager, and the bug goes away. It's been like this for the last couple of driver releases. There are people in this very thread claiming that it's not a bug, when in reality it is.

Long story short, the latest drivers breaks the lighting on RX 570. I uninstalled it, DDU'd, reinstalled the previous version and it works just fine. I am not going to reinstall the buggy driver again and capture footage just to entertain you being the troll.

It is possible that it breaks in particular for Polaris. The indoor lightings are broken, it's very dark, the character model in the inventory menu is just a black silhouette, same for holo calls. When I noticed the issue for the first time, I verified the game, deleted shader cache, etc. and went through an extensive list of troubleshooting hoops only to realize that it was the driver at fault. If you are in outdoors, it's fine and you'll not notice any issues.

If you are using RT in game, it's possible that it doesn't occur for you.

Noticed similar behavior in Cyberpunk 2077 as well, doesn't happen if I revert back to 21.11.3. The shimmering takes place in the distance in game where it shouldn't.

 

I had no issues installing these on the rx580. Was playing diablo 2r in a five hour long seasson worked just fine even though my card is overclocked. Im on w11 btw.

Memory clocks are still maxed out but the life of multi monitor use.

 

Lol no way. If I enable RT in cyberpunk I get like 20 fps.
Yeah it seems like a Polaris specific bug or maybe GCN based GPUs bug. Report it to AMD and let's hope that they fix it...

 

I tested these drivers vs enterprise 21.q4. It's a tad bit faster. ( tested on m wx 7100/rx 570 ). I tend to run benchmarks in older games like Mafia 2, Gear Tactics, Ghost wildlands, and Brink. I notice in Brink 21.12.1 vs 21.q3 and 21.q4 is much much faster. Mafia 2 in 21.q4 max 107.5 / 83fps. In 21.12.1 max 107.6/95fps. Wildlands and Gear, and in Gear 5 slightly higher fps with the adrenalin drivers.
I think the enterprise 21.q3, 21.q4 and Adrenaline 21.12.1 are all great drivers, the latest new 12/03/2021 are the ones i would use. Depending on your card

I'm using 21.40 branch since Radeon Pro for Blender 3.0 release (for about 3 weeks) on Vega and I have to say this branch seems very promising in terms of performance. I also noticed lower power consumption in some scenarios (UE4 games mostly)

 

Any getting a bug where your games will lock to 67hz?? I had it in Fortnite, and BF4 so far.

Disabled freesync in the driver panel and it fixed it instantly.

And Escape From Tarkov is unplayable, getting like 10-20% gpu usage and clocks hover around 500MHz-1.2GHz and don't get any higher even when forcing min clock speed in the tuning panel.

 

Went from 1080p60 in Halo MP with 21.11.3 to 1080p100 with 21.12.1 with my 5700 XT. Max settings, no dynamic resolution

In Horizon Zero Dawn, I'm getting texture flickering with 21.12.2 but significant FPS improvement. In a specific location with lowest fps, my previous driver (21.40.03.1 AKA "Halo Drivers), my fps is 88 while in the newest driver, I got 106! But damn the flickering issue is annoying.. went back to 21.40.03.1 for now.

 

It doesn't mention anything specifically about this issue, but there was an update for HZD today that adds FSR and other improvements.

 

So HZD got higher fps with the new driver AND it got FSR as well AND better shader warming system.

Using 21.12.1; Game set to 1800p, upscaled to 2160p using Ultra Quality FidelityFX, Ultimate Quality defaults on a 5700XT stock settings / Ryzen 3600

With native 4K, High Settings w/ Ultra textures and models and Ultra Aniso, I get avg 49 FPS (which is totally playable with FreeSync)

 

RIS didn’t work for me with whql 21.10.2, 21.12.1 fixed this, that is with RX580/Windows 11.

 

Working fine here with previous and this one. Was testing it doom just few days ago.
