Faster than 2 year old quad core that can't be bought anymore .

3300X was unicorn , you could get in first days/weeks after release and they stopped producing it . CPU many speak about and none has :)

Would still chug/stutter in BF2042 though, 4 cores simply not enough.

Thats the mythical optimization of BF2042.

Cyberpunk run just fine on 4 cores . I finished game on 3300X with R6800.

Not only, he was stopped due to compatibility problem due to that it have all active core on a single CCX (btw it's the same with the 2100G)
compared to the 3100 that perform nearly the same but have 2 on each CCX and were less expensive.
Exept that, i just love how Intel compare this 12th gen to 2 gen back CPU from AMD for main stream and 1 gen back for high end, to show their "superiority"...
It's not that way they will seduce peoples...

Most of the time you can make it work with less core...
As an exemple on my ex G3258 (2c/2t oc at 4.8 winter 4.5 summer) i was able to play at a cool 50fps at GR Wildland, despite the message "your CPU is weak and it will not work" at the install.

not bad,but a major bottleneck compared even to 10400F
for a 6800,that is so mythically great for 1440p as you say,it's a major bottleneck.
quad cores are dead and buried for games like cp,wd or ac,generally big open cities.
they are still very decent for other single players and some multi players.

I personally believe 4c/8t is perfectly acceptable for most games even newer games if u turn down a few of the more cpu intensive effects i don't know why ppl on here keep saying quad cores are dead anything still made for the previous gen consoles that only had 6 threads available to the game will work even better on the 4c/8t cpu. even the new console i believe dedicate 1c2t to the os and background tasks so you're really left with 7c/14t for the game

@kapu well there is nothing in the diy desktop marjet to compare it too ,not from amd ... Amd literally released nothing after that for the budget market . Literally after the 5xxx realease the only options for new cpus on 90 to 200 usd market where only intel 10100 i3 11100i3 and the 10400 and 11400 amd abandoned this market segment . Most likely because their manufacturing capacity is capped out and they aim to direct that to higher margin stuff. I understand that from a corporation standpoint ... But it just prove that no corporation is your friend .hell they did not even released yet the 5300g only oems.

Nah , played really smooth on 3300X, with AMD fix ofc ,because game was soo bugged at release it only used 2-3 cores .... Not sure they used the fix in this test , results seem offf . 3600X doing same performance as 3300X . There isnt AMD fix used.
Flawed test with most buged game of last decade . Please :D

PPC Doesnt always get their stuff right , this time the bench is totally broken.

you read Polish, don't you.stop twisting facts that are there in black and white.

fix is used and 3600 non-x is 6-7% faster here,3300x is close cause it (and 7700k) have always been close to 3600

Must be nvidia driver overhead in DX12.

Game played without any stutters on my 3300X after the fix . Before it was mess.

    bottleneck does not mean stuttering.
there's footage all over the internet of r3000 series sucking in cp 2077,be it nvidia or amd cards.
it's not the frametimes,it's the framerates.so at least it's smooth, though it's limiting the performance in a major way.

    agree
r5 x600 was always a great value option for amd 1000/2000/3000 series.
but they were beat by 10400,then got wrecked in perf/dollar by 11400 and now they're not doing anything about 12600 that outperforms even a 5800/5900x while (I just checked) it costs less than a 5600x.Meanwhile 12400/12500 with no e-cores are coming soon, matching or beating a 300eur 5600x,and there's no word of 5600 non-x in ~200eur segment.

lol funny but not really accurate since ipc and clocks are way up as well as having smt on all the new cpu's that being said tho my q6600 back in the day was a beast mine managed 3.44ghz on the 750iftw board funnest setup ive had to this day

Big surprise, a 2021 cpu is faster then a 2019 cpu. Yes I know 3300x launched in 2020 but based off the 2019 cpus.

I bet a quad version of the 5600x would beat the new i5 though TBH.

Yes but things are meant to advance forward so the new minimum spec should be hex cores and nothing less. I had a QX6700 loved it till it just died for no reason, when testing the CPU it killed every board it was put in and when testing other CPU's in the boards it killed them too. It was really strange took it to a specialist and he said for whatever reason the CPU was requesting 24v. It was fine at 4Ghz for 3 years then just died when next turned on, it was a good CPU, also the most expensive i have ever bought.

It seems it would be slower or equal goin on current IPC gains .
Probably equal but AM4 would be cheaper. 5300X would need to cost max 150e to compete.
