I probably won't miss his contributions seeing he was involved with BF V and 2042, two of the absolute worst entries in the franchise. Battlefront II is debatable although a noticeable improvement over the first entry.
The amount of bad decisions in this game is just insane. Like the spotting grenade... everyone throws it EVERYWHERE, making stealth play next to impossible... some will likely argue that there was spotting flare and motion sensors in previous battlefield games, but the major difference is that spotting flares could only be fired by recon, and could easily be seen in the air, and be shot down. Motion sensors could also only be used by reckon, and only showed players on the minimap - they didnt spot enemies. Spotting grenades on the otherhand... they can be equipped by everyone, and everyone is throwing it everywhere all the time, meaning you are spotted 90% of the time...
Is he talking about former Battlefield titles? 2042 has the worst (map) design decisions from all Battlefield games. Everyone who has slightly any clue about good map design (what matters, place of certain objects, reducing chocke points, etc.) notice this if you play one of the (same) maps for the 1st time. @Seaclean BFV has some really good features (like no 3d spotting, no health regen) and i liked it. Im still mad they just dropped support for this just like that, after what, 2 years? BFV should have been a/the same service game 2042 is going to be now. I just hope they face plant it again.
That is such a dumb mistake, it's almost impossible to understand. It's the kind of error that a non-gamer would have as an idea.
I guess we're just at different opinions, then. I much preferred 3d spotting. I'm indifferent about health regeneration, though. To me the pinnacle of Battlefield was 4 for its gunplay, maps with levolution and just overall execution (although it took quite some time to get past all the launch issues). BC2 deserves mentioning too for it's impressive destruction and BF1 for it's bold take on a much over-looked era.
We're just back to where it was before, you play the UI instead of the game, constantly watching and firing at dots, from minimap or world overlay, even when you don't see anything. I don't like that at all and really preferred BFV for this.
I like the boost they made to accuracy though with the patch today - it actually made the k30 usable!
Looks good plays like plain crap. Like all of the Portal maps from prev. BF titles, those maps does not have anything to do with the vanilla ones, except the name and some of the environment. Certain objects and other things are missing or somewhat is reduced.
Source This is a small view of sales figures, but it doesn't paint a good picture. If sales world wide, including digital, are similar to this, then BF 2042 might be a flop.
I am not at all suprised tbh - all my friends played bf1, only a few played bf5, and non play bf2042.
Like i said before, i hope so! So many bad design decisions, obvious things,...dont want to repeat the wholel crap again. It would just serve them right. I think its the greatest shame, worst BF Game ever. Obvious things i cant get over how they missed those things, blabla. There has to be consequences. I was always a defender of Dice until they dropped BFV and now this!? So funny and sad at the same time im sorry, but Dice failed miserably and i dont care who's responsible if its EA or not, same soup.

Yeah, that ak sure does seem to kill me fast now. But it also made the k30 ALOT more usable... it's just a menace at sub 30 meters ! But it really really needs the 50 round drum before it becomes properly usable with that 1200 rpm.
Im using it extensively reminds me of Type-2A or S2000 Great guns but You need to handle them carefully, burst fire and even can pick up distance players. In BFv now im using more Suomi better in longer engagements. Note: K30 is even better with 41 or 51 mag
