Yes the power profile is the only new component.

Using windows 10, in the morning I manually clicked windows update as per the daily norm to check if anything new and it didn't see anything.

Then went online and saw the news about the chipset so went ahead and installed the new chipset driver, had internet disabled for the uninstall > install

Restarted > then turned internet back on and the PC Health Check program appeared by itself, I didn't install it... windows update did, information about Windows 11.

I wonder if the installation of this chipset driver is a deciding factor for whether Microsoft will push 11 to a system or not? prior to this I had nothing shown to me about 11 via Windows Update page.

My games run a lot smoother now. Thank God. I was going to roll back to Windows 10. Fixed now.

Updated today to this chipset driver and downloaded a whole bunch of updates from microshaft and it did indeed fix the L3 cache issue ,my systems feels snapier too :) . Great update running w11 like butter now on my Ryzen rigs.

It will take a while with all the fixes but w11 will be the better system.

Weekly check on the driver situation noticed this.

MSI AMD AM4/TR4 chipset provided driver not an official release.

    https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/release-notes/rn-ryzen-chipset-3-10-08-506
    That's AMD's MSI's is version 30.10.22.706 so that's up from 3.10.08.506

Same I2C driver at version 1.2.0.118
Newer MicroPEP driver (Laptop related I believe.)
Newer power profile. (Windows 10 and also Windows 11)

    MicroPEP is up from 1.0.29.0
Power plan is up from 7.0.3.5

If you type plan when you open Settings, you should be able to find the menu to change it.

That's weird. Both Microsoft and AMD has reported the performance bug as fixed on Win11.

The fix was for the L3 cache, now the problem is with L1 and L2 it seems.

The multiplier is also different, shouldn't that be the same ?
