I want to see that movie. I went last week with the wife to see Dune. Although a long movie and not really gripping, it was visually stunning as well as the sound/music. Back on topic, I really hope everyone gets pleasantly surprised that the game turns out to be solid when it comes out (including myself). Not to come back and say "See I TOLD YOU" considering the endless circle jerk of negative "reviews" and videos of the game based on a somewhat broken beta, but more so because I love you all and want you to have fun and enjoyment. Cross your fingers and toes with me guys. Let us intertwine (non sexually, or sexually - whichever you prefer).
There s stuff i liked, grappling is a cool addition, remind me of jetpacks in bf1942:secret weapon. But there s also a bunch of stuff i dont, aside from the bugs, the proportions in the world feel wrong, hope there s smaller maps, more dense and human sized.
I’m rather sure the grappling will be a terrible pain in the *** unless they add something like a cooldown timer or alike. Just imagine how high the tick rate would need to be in order to hit someone properly.
Sounds like a good idea. Could also mean that either your CPU or your network breaks down in an intense firefight.
Hazard Zone mode trailer and explanation by Dice It seems like a Battle Royale, but with an objective to capture and extract. Personally, I'm not interested in another BR. Even if it has a twist.
Spent a good amount of time last weekend really wanting to try and enjoy the beta, heck I downloaded it on my PS5 so I can try both PC and console versions. Holy hell that was a buggy mess. PC version stuttered like crazy despite having a very high end system and even the fixes I found online solved jack. The PS5 had horrible flickering textures and lighting. Not a good first impression, I've never played a beta that was this bad. Unless the final game is massively improved, I'll be giving it a hard pass.
Somehow i have the feeling this BF will be even more disastrous than its used to be. I have no desire playing any of this (not that i can anyway (played a little stutter rubberbanding beta), but that doesnt matter), what i've seen, etc. Also the first BF im not getting on day1 or i think even at all.
I'm slightly more optimistic in that I think the product that launches will be in a better place, having said that, if the beta is an example of the state the final game is currently at then I think they should delay it to the beginning of December to really smooth things out. Sure the beta kinda sucked but I also think a lot of people are giving the game hard time because internet is what it is and some people like a good smear campaign + a lot of people got themselves unrealistically overhyped as usual. Me I'm looking forward to next week, they're supposed to do a blog post about the beta and the feedback they've received, be interesting to see if it'll be some corporate damage control nonsense or something with a bit more transparency. In any case I will remain on the fence like I did with BFV and possibly grab the game during the Christmas sales... as to what years Christmas sale remains to be seen I guess.
For me the major thing is that game looks same as bf4 but still saying that an i7 6700k and an 8gb card isn t enough to get a playable fps on 144hrz, this is a disgrace if true, this is my main concern if the final product is like that
I'm not concerned about the bugs even, BF has always had major bugs at release and it always took a while to get right. They got it right in the end though. What really botheres me is some of the core features just don't seem right. I don't see a "true" BF fan look forward to them, I don't see a "typical" CoD fan look forward to them. It's just a weird mix of things. Specialists, AI bots for example. I don't see how huge maps and on-the-fly equipment changes help playing the objective. Huge maps make sense for vehicles, but it surely is an issue for infantry. Add to that the super-arcady handling & feel of vehicles & weapons.
If they just locked certain gadgets and guns behind each specialist so you could at least see a a certain one and know for a fact they have ammo or health ect would help so much with out a lot of work. As it stands right now you can look at a guy in a ghillie suit and have no idea if he has an rpg or a health kit...which is just insane IMO
What resolution and settings are you playing on? Saying it "Looks the same as bf4" is kind of surprising. If you cannot see the leap in graphical improvement/movement then there is something seriously wrong on your side and I hate to say that 8gb is starting to come to the bare minimum these days, sadly of course.
In the other hand, did you see anything close to the fidelity of BF1 or V? Maybe it was the clean look and empty map, but the lack of detail didn’t really help.
I hope time will do justice to BFV, i like it really. Despite its lack of all famous WWII events and terrible marketing at launch.
I don t see graphical improvement tbh, other than the textures are sharper, the movement is same as bf1, and bf1 looks better than this
