Sounds exactly like what I am having! Since I only have one card, you can pretty much rule out it being a dual card issue. Hope this is getting fixed as I like the performance of that driver so far!

    Cheers!

Yep, no MS Account either, and the NVCP was installed automatically.

Open a command prompt and run the following command to repair it:
    Code:
    Get-AppxPackage Microsoft.SecHealthUI -AllUsers | Reset-AppxPackage
The AppX database contains info for the Windows Store apps including the DCH version of NVCPL, if it get's corrupted/damaged it can prevent apps from updating, being uninstalled, run etc.
The above command repairs it with a reset and refresh.

Only seen it happen with a Windows 10 to 11 Insider upgrade myself, but other things might be able to cause it too.

DCH version cp looks exactly the same, on your screenshot it says DCH right there under driver type lol.

I think I'll hold back and not install until I'm 100% these are good for the Insider Dev builds. I'd rather wait for the wsl2 driver update.

How can you state that you get crashes in games like Warzone and then state that it is the only game you tested?

How did you install the driver?
Did a clean install over the previous one on Windows 11 for my 3080Ti with the network interfaces disabled, no issues so far.
Stripped down version with only Display.Driver, NVI2 and PhysX.

I don't play Warzone, got COD WWII though, which runs fine.

Hey bro, thanks for trying to help... I ran the command on CMD (ran as admin) but I get the following message:
'Get-AppxPackage' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
    operable program or batch file.

This Appx command might be a powershell command(?)

on two separate PCs, on 4 3090 RTX FE video cards, these drivers cause black squares to appear on 2D desktop whenever another app is open in a lesser sized window. Black polygons range from 1mm to 3mm in diameter. They number 4-10 count and are normally to the left of any open window on the 2D desktop.

Reverting to prior driver corrects the issue. We don't overclock.

Someone else in the forum reported the same exact issue. I have not had this issue before.

Using gsynch on/off has no effect. Screen set to 4k native, 120hz or 144hz, 10 bit colour, RGB, and Full (not Limited) on DisplayPort 1.4
    Certified cable
issue is reproducible on all 3 DP ports on back of cards.
Cards are about 31-34C temp when issue is prevalent.
Unique to 2D desktop when other app is present on screen.

Mouse curser can go over black squares and retain mouse pointer shape, apps can be dragged over black squares and occlude black squares till app moves off.

I just installed it via Geforce Experience. I'm on windows 10. Maybe I should try a stripped down version.

Can confirm the small rectangular artifacts. Doom Eternal kept freezing too. Would like to update but cannot until there is a fix for both issues. Have already filled out Nvidia bug report form.

Yeah sorry, it's powershell, using Windows Terminal these days so forgot to differ between them.
If that fails you might want to try removing the driver with DDU, select the option that prevents Windows driver updates in DDU and then go for a reinstall of the driver.

If you got any software running that can hook, monitor or edit on the GPU side of things make sure to close it all down before installing.
As example, I close MSI Afterburner, RTSS + Desktop Overlay and a few other things down every time before installing new driver.

If so you have to remove some lines under manifest from setup.cfg, see the screenshot below 3 lines after the marked eula.txt.
Also, if you use audio via your graphics card you might want to keep the audio folder.

plus, keep nodejs for RTX cards.

edit: you can allow NGXUpdater.exe to go internet and keep other nvidia related exe's blocked.
