lol why would anyone use 10GB+ for shader cache.. OCD is strong in this one.

 

Why are people talking about MS Store and Control Panel, I installed it after initially doing a complete uninstall with DDU and installed the new driver normally including Control Panel without any MS Store...

 

When did that change, I am running 471.96, installed with NVcleanstall 1.10, just the display driver, HDaudio and physX?

Edit: Just installed 496.13 with NVcleanstall and worked fine, just the basic's no GFE.

 

The DCH installer includes the Control Panel. It sideloads it during installation. There's no need to have the Microsoft Store, the only prerequisite is to have the AppInstaller app installed on the system, which should be part of Windows 10 and 11.

 

It doesn't include it, it downloads it during installation. But that can fail if some part of UWP platform is blocked via GP or in some other way.

 

Good driver from early testings.
Around 30.9K graphics score on a laptop rtx2080super 150 W tdp. Vbios
32.4 with 200W tdp vbios

With Dev 510.06 I was getting 31.1K on 150W tdp vbios but I did ddu before instal so maybe next run will match so far the fastest 510.06 for me.

As far as I remember 510.10 dev driver also had option to control shader cache size but you could do that only via inspector.

Also 510 dev have never cuda driver 11.6 vs 11.4 in 496 driver

Is it possible to swap the cuda drivers from 510.10 into the 496.13 without breaking the driver?

As 496 is giving better fluidity in games I think due to changes in vsync for laptops

Edit: second 3dmark run gave me 31 113 so I can tell this ia the fatest driver for me so far.

 

I've installed multiple Nvidia drivers with the Internet disabled after using DDU, and it has installed the Control Panel without issue.

 

No, my pc pc dont have network cable connected and i remove all old drivers and used ddu to clean everything, now i install the new driver and control panel installed together

 

NVCleanstall is not yet notifying the driver

Oh, you're right, it does. The point on UWP being blocked remains though.

 

The retained 700 series gpu's are Maxwell v1.

 

It's just a limit, not a preallocation. So it won't waste any disk space until it actually needs to.
Though "official" AMD and Nvidia drivers are quite wasteful with disk space for shader cache. If they would e.g. utilize zstd like Mesa, we wouldn't be talking about such vast numbers: https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/mesa/mesa/-/merge_requests/2580

Insalled, before, i DDued, used nvslimmer, working fine for now, must play some games to see how it is, i come from standard driver 472.12, but how the hell to disable Ansel ??

it can also be disabled with profile inspector.

im not sure why you're missing the nvcamera though, its included in the dch driver.

ah, the configuration utility is omitted.
