Anyone know if the Nvidia cache folder gets deleted when you DDU clean a driver?

They discontinue 600 series but not the kepler 700 series? I always thought they are doing this to prune the driver, i guess they just wanna make them obsolete for the sake of it.

I can't believe they dropped the standard driver!!

    I have a 3060TI in a plex server running Windows server 2019..

Now with the DCH driver I won't be able to open the control panel

    @kx11 and extracted it's 1.95 GB :)

Time to finally switch from standard version to DCH.
In 496.13 they also updated HD Audio Driver from 1.3.38.60 to 1.3.38.92.
And PhysX System Software was updated from 9.19.0218 to 9.21.0713.
The installer has support for high DPI, text is not blurry anymore on 4K display.

Has this been confirmed? And if that is the case I just won't update until I switch over to Win11.

Why? It's the same driver, only the distribution routine is different. And all GPU vendors will do this since this is a requirement of MS.

why would you use an app from a random internet source when all you need to do is extract the installer in a folder (using winrar for example) and delete everything except :
    Display.Driver
    GFExperience
    GFExperience.NvStreamSrv
    HDAudio
    NVI2
    PhysX
    EULA.txt
    ListDevices.txt
    setup.cfg
    setup.exe

you can even delete hdaudio i think if you have no use for it, I've been doing that since forever
just did it with those DCH drivers too, geforce experience folder has been made a requirement several drivers ago you need to leave it, just select driver only at install

For anyone who don't use Store like me, install the DCH driver and go to: https://store.rg-adguard.net/
    Then paste this link: https://www.microsoft.com/en-mk/p/n...nf8h0h7wmlt?rtc=1&activetab=pivot:overviewtab
Download the latest Control Panel app found at the bottom: NVIDIACorp.NVIDIAControlPanel_8.1.961.0_x64__56jybvy8sckqj.appx
Place it on desktop and run PowerShell as admin and then type: Add-AppxPackage -Path "C:\Users\{YourUSERNAME}\Desktop\NVIDIACorp.NVIDIAControlPanel_8.1.961.0_x64__56jybvy8sckqj.Appx"
    And that is about it.

    I appreciate the Info.

Because I don't want to use a different distribution routine, I don't use the MS Store it's blocked/removed. I was fine before using the Standard driver, I like having the choice of how I use my HW/SW obviously now thats been taken away I just will not update.

You don't have to use MS Store but it would be a lot easier this way. There's nothing wrong with MS Store btw.
