Yes indeed, bf1 looks as good as this and runs miles better, i remember on gtx 970 i was hitting 80 fps, with a 1070 u could hit 130 fps easily
wow, at least someone got ahead of me and said it, i didn t want to say it, i might get robbed and be told that im trolling, anyway, The best looking game on frostbite is star wars battlefront 1, enough said
Another of your countless braindead elitist vommit replies. I wrote about the game not taking full advantage of all threads, which it obviously should if it was coded properly, and you devolve it into this... /facepalm
Exactly. And one that they also choose to release on ps4 / xbone, which have extremely weak cpus. It's obviously a game engine issue - it wasn't an issue with previous battlefield games, so either the engine is being pushed beyond what it can handle, or they got alot of work to do under the hood.
Motion sensors don't seem be working either, throwed one down an got shot from behind but nothing pinged on mini map. Performance is pretty good for me though.
Basically what the frametime graph should look like, is like this : Bf5 devastation conquest 64 man, which is the most cpu intensive scenario in bf5, due to having 64 players in such a small area. Spoiler Completely flat frametime graph, despite being cpu limited - aka no stuttering at all. The last pic is just to show that i am actually in a fully populated devastation server. This is how it SHOULDN'T be Spoiler Constant spikes in frametimes, making it super stuttery. I do hope for dice sake that they can fix it, but the game just runs so poor compared to previous games, that i think it might be a too big of a mountain for them to climb, without scaling the game down alot / downgrading it.
I tried to do this and it did improve things. I also installed Windows 2471.1000, that fixes L3 latency on Zen. And disabled Control Flow Guard for the game. Although stuttering was significantly improved, it still stuttered like a b*tch. This is bad when traversing the map, but it's game breaking when it happens on the heat of battle. After trying to play a bit more today, I just gave up on this game, as it has too many problems. And very few things of positive. Movement and animations are janky Lag and hit detection are broken Bots in a MP game are a terrible idea Several bugs Bad map design Graphics are average, but runs like crap Very poorly optimized, with lots of stuttering Gunplay is not very fun Doesn't incentivize team play Terrible UI design Considering how many online FPS there are to choose right now, with most doing things much better, there is no reason to pick this up. Maybe several months from now, after a ton of patching and with a big discount on top. Considering EA is asking 110 euros for the full version, this seems more like a scam, than an honest sale of a game.
What are the strange looking particles that are in the air... they are visible in the second video with the helicopter... what are they meant to represent? can't be snow... doesn't look like rain.. or is it raining?
It appears that textures is another culprit of the stuttering - setting textures to low makes nearly eliminates the stuttering. Im guessing it's cause they haven't allowed a bigger memory pool to be used by the gpu, it needs to stream like crazy if you got textures on ultra...
You can see the rocket ignition platform is destroyed so the rocket was launched, it's just ash and dust.
I've had a think about it, and I'm cancelling my pre-order. It's not especially fun, and paying full price for this at launch doesn't feel right.
Maybe wait for a new maps and content. See what happens with the DLC. The game could even go free to play.
Truth be told, the game is so poorly optimized that almost everything is causing the stutters. It's like the engine is breaking under it's own weight, trying to do so many things at the same time.
Well, i actually got the game running 100% stutter free g-sync off, v-sync off, framelimiter off, texture low, and high fidelity objects amount low, everything else ultra. Atm im trying to narrow down whether it was g-sync or v-sync that caused the last bit of stuttering.
You have a 3090 and you had to lower graphics to low, to be able to play the game without a ton of stutter. I think this speaks volumes to how bad this game is in technical terms. In a way, BF 2042 is this year's Cyberpunk 2077.
